This was, indeed, an exceptional experience. Combining the great Egyptian culture and monumental heritage with a perfect organization. The food on board was very good and the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Last, but certainly not least, a word of appreciation to Islam, our guide, who gave us very detailed and interesting explanations, about the magnificent historical sites we visited, and was, always, very kind and willing to help everybody. Thank you!

The Nile river cruise was amazing
Our guide Mustafa was an EXCELLENT guide and profesional, respectful, and friendly. He made it his job to make this an incredible experience for all of us. He had alot of knowledge and was very kind to all of us and the best of all he made this an AMAZING birthday in Egypt, even brought me a cake. He made this an INCREDIBLE vacation for us and i will come back with my family.

This definitely was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The temple trips were amazing, and a special thanks to your guide Ahmed who provided insight into all things Ancient Egypt as well as asking any questions the group had. I highly recommend booking this tour, you will have a great time. The ship itself is fine, bear in mind its random selection so may not what you see online- we were on the Monte Carlo which was fine. The food was nice and the rooms and social areas were all clean.

The cruise was excellent, we saw so much in such a limited time, though it did mean very early starts every morning. So we only had a few hours one day to relax. I had read reviews where the boat was given three stars, I don’t agree, by Italian standards I would give it four stars. It was very well maintained, clean, the staff were all very pleasant, except for the night receptionist who was downright rude and the men doing the chits for the drinks where a smile and a thank you wouldn’t have gone amiss. The food was ,for the most part, good, there was a different selection everyday. Our guide, Rocky, was very pleasant and had interesting stories. I would have liked him to have come into the temples and shown us the interesting features rather than give us an overview of the history then leave us to explore on our own. I was lucky, I also had a very nice group. All in all a fantastic time.

I had a fabulous time on this tour.
As probably expected in Egypt the tour schedule kept changing and had to transfer to an another cruise ship after the first night. But it included everything I wanted to do that found it very reasonably priced and worth it!
The hot air balloon was spectacular and the group of people in the tour was fantastic that made my cruise so special and thanks to our guide Usama made everything possible!
If you are considering this tour make sure to be ready to get up earliest 330am, average 5am and last day in Luxor will be more than 14 hours.
Not so much time to relax on cruise but you could visit all the temples incl Abu Simbel.
Made a mistake to arrive a night before the tour started so highly recommended to fly in by afternoon on a previous day as my flight from Cairo to Aswan delayed 3 hours…

Highly recommend booking! The cruise and food was actually way better than I thought. Jam pack every day adventures. Definitely worth it! No need to put an agenda together. They have it all lined up for you. Especially our guide Rucky! We had such amazing time and learn so much from him. The best group of people! They did it right by putting the best fun active people together in our group. Just want to say how amazing and awesome Rucky is! Thanks again for letting us fall in love with Egypt!

Everything was good or great. Had to wake up too early. This was not a leisure trip, but a discovery one

  8. Jasmin_P

This trip was amazing! The temples that you see are incredible, its a jam packed trip with early mornings but really worth it. Abu Simbel was a mind blowing highlight for me. Our guide Ahmed was great, he really looked after us and explained some cool facts about the temples but then gave us plenty of time to wander around ourselves to take pictures and explore. I think I enjoyed this more than seeing the Pyramids in Giza (Although this was also great), the boat was nice and the food was better than I had expected to. Highly recommend this cruise

The boat (Miriam) is amazing, beautiful, spacious, the crew super kind and helpful. Ali was the best! The food was amazing!!! The best we tried in Egypt. We loved the cruise so much that we were sad to leave the boat when it was finished. The massages on the boat are really good and there was a gym. Upper deck is beautiful. Trips were well organized, our only negative feedback is the guide who didn’t speak english well, gave missinformstion about the history and in total didn’t talk a lot on the sites nor in the vehicles. All else was perfect, we are planning to take the cruise again!

The trip was simply amazing. The staff on the boat are very friendly and courteous. Food was good and different variety everyday. It was the best way to experience Egypt and see many temples possible short amount of time. Only downside- be prepare to wake up at 4 am daily but it was worth it. Our tour guide Zakaria was awesome and very knowledgeable. Zakaria answered all of our questions and was willing to do extra things to make sure we were enjoying our trip. Few of us on the boat wanted to go to a local Hookah Bar on our own, but Zakaria volunteered to take us so we didn’t get lost and we had a great time. I went to Dubai after Egypt and Egypt was the best part of my vacation!!

  11. Tiffany_S

We had an incredible trip. Be prepared to be up very early in the morning, but it is worth it. Our guide, Zak was incomparable. He was so knowledgeable and extremely helpful negotiating our time outside the boat. He is a star-ask for him!

This is a good tour but as mentioned by others, very busy. Every morning starts very early, between 3:30 to 5 am wake up calls. Meals were hit and miss for my taste but they had enough variety that I could find something to enjoy. The sites in the itinerary are worth seeing and having the balloon ride included is a nice addition. Each temple has unique features to enjoy, although I would have skipped the Aswan Dam and Queen Hatshepsut’s temple. We had a lot of fun and met nice people. The rooms were very neat and comfortable and the crew was good. The scenery on the Nile is beautiful.
I deducted stars because of the following:
    1) It is not clear unless you expand “what’s included” that the entry tickets are not included. It says “all sites mentioned in the itinerary are included” meaning they will take you there and you’ll have a guide, but you will pay the entry fee. This is kind of annoying and doesn’t make much sense. I thought this was intentionally misleading.
    2) The guides tell you how much to tip and tipping feels more like an additional fee rather than appreciation for good service.
    3) Because you are one of many cruises on the same itinerary many sites are quite crowded. You all arrive and leave at the same time.
If I were to redo this trip I would pay for the cruise only and arrange my own excursions.

We had a great time on this Nile cruise, the locations, the tour guide and the balloon ride were all perfect – would highly recommend this tour to anyone. We booked the tour through Here Egypt Tours. They changed the itinerary 15 hours before the tour was due to start. Instead of the first day in Aswan per the advertised itinerary, the change was to go to Abu Simbel first day, this meant that due to our flight schedule (based on original tour itinerary) we checked into our hotel at midnight and now had to check-out at 3am for Abu Simbel. We had less than 2 hours at the hotel – a total waste of money. Additionally, we confirmed with ‘Here Egypt Tours’ when the tour would finish so we could plan our onward travel. They advised 5pm, so we booked a hotel for the night. The tour finished at midday, which had we known, we would have booked our onward flight the same day. Another hotel cost we could have avoided. Other people on our tour were also complaining about the impact this change in schedule had to their plans. Im not sure how much Here Egypt Tours can control these schedule changes but they were unsympathetic to the impact to their customers.

The trips went very well and our guide was great, very knowledgable and concerned. The company was reliable and they solved all problems that showed up.
But the boat itself was terrible. It was no 5 stars, not even by far. Not even a 4 stars. The rooms were old and the air conditioning didn’t work properly. The toilet had several issues too. The swimming pool was too small for so many people. Saying it is a 5stars cruise it is false advertising.

  15. Adrian_T

zakarya was our guide throughout the tour. Extremely friendly, very accommodating and good knowledge of the tour around the sites. But, not only that, was always available for advice and help throughout the cruise also. I highly recommend Zakarya for anyone wanting a very knowledgeable and helpful tour of ancient Egypt.

  16. Lisa_G

We had a very good time. It’s not as nice as a Royal Caribbean cruise but it’s definitely an experience you shouldn’t miss. The food was average. We were surprised how early we would have had to get up to see Abu Simbal, 3 am! If you’re younger you can handle it a bit better. It was May and very hot! I definitely recommend going in months November-March. Too hot otherwise.

We are just in love with Egypt. The tour was above our expectations. All the places to see, all the historie is simply mind-blowing. Mona Rashin, the agent in Egypt was following us up all the way before and during the trip. That was really serious and securing for us. Making sure we were alright. Our guide Mohamed Wafa was amazing, funny, paciente and very very helpful. We had and amazing time on the cruise and the tours. Thank you!

Do not book this trip! You risk being put on a terrible-quality boat while others are on actual 5-star cruises.
The ship was advertised as “5-stars” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The boat we were placed on, the Papyrus, was over 30 years old and is not fit to house people. We even spoke to the front desk staff, and they confirmed the boat was in fact only “2 or 3 stars” today. So not at all what we paid for and were promised. Viator and the tour company only offered a less than 10% refund after ruining our vacation.
The first room we were placed in, 221, had about half an inch of water on the floor when we entered the cabin which was coming out of the bathroom/toilet and soaking the carpet. We told them we would not stay in that room, and they moved us down a floor to 112. They subsequently vacuumed up the water and gave the room to another unsuspecting group later.
In room 112 there was an extremely strong odor of diesel fuel in the air. So much so that my husband and I both had bad headaches after only minutes in the room. I messaged the tour staff and told them we did not feel safe staying in that room (see attached messages.) I honestly felt we might get carbon monoxide poisoning in the night. (There was no carbon monoxide detector in the room.)
After they told me there was nothing they could do as all other ships were booked, we walked across the street and booked a hotel for that night for 1,400EGP.
The next morning, an Indian family of about 7 people left the boat due to the terrible quality of their rooms, and they were forced to spend hundreds of dollars extra per night to stay on a different, smaller boat that was actually 5 stars. We could not afford to make the same move, and, being essentially trapped in a foreign country, we were forced to stay in 219 for the final 2 nights. While certainly much better than 112, room 219 still smelled strongly of diesel fuel.
Essentially, we feel we were tricked by the listing and placed on a boat that the tour staff knew was inferior, but hoped they could get away with. If you examine the reviews, you will see plenty of other much nicer boats mentioned, and that is the quality of boat we were expecting when booking. I have attached a couple of photos of the boats mentioned in prior reviews, along with a few photos of our dirty, dingy cabin on the 2-3 star Papyrus.
Mohammad was a great tour-guide though, and, while rushed, the tours were good. But the trip was really ruined by our accommodations. Salt was rubbed in the wounds as well when we had to walk through the lobby of some of the ships that others booking this same tour were put on that were GORGEOUS. All anyone in the groups with us could do was just angrily laugh at our terrible luck.

We had a great trip. Our Spanish tour guide, Sabry, was very helpful and we highly recommend. The accommodations were great.

  20. Lukasz_R

The cruise itself was wonderful. Our tour guide (Muhammad) was always attentive, listened to the needs of the group while keeping up with all the sightseeing program.
There was big variety of food to choose for – worth mentioning it was delicious and fresh.
Our hot air balloon trip was cancelled due to weather. As we stayed in Luxor after the cruise, Mrs Bassant contacted us and made sure we had a chance to take this amazing trip. She also contacted us every day through the cruise to make sure we don’t miss anything. 🙂
The only downgrade were little bit outdated cabins.
To sum up, as a first-time on organised cruise, we felt taken care of and would recommend it!
