The organisation has been excellent. We booked the tour a few hours before leaving and everthing went smoothly. They were on time and we really enjoyed the fact that they combined three different experiences on one day. We made the most of it, nothing was rushed and we had time to fully enjoy everything. We really recommend this tour agency if you want to experience something special. Our guide was really nice and knowledgeable. They explained to us how special the treatment of the elephants is. They do look after the animals really well and the money goes to the care of the elephants.

Your guide LuLu is absolutely amazing: i believe this trip is certainly worth it, contingent on knowing one thing. The trekking is for expert level; not beginners. The grade (slope) is challenging. I sustained a significant injury during the hike.
The elephant experience was hands down the best.

  3. Stephen_M

The whole day and variety of experiences exceeded expectations! The elephants and educational element of the presentation was impressive! Waterfall hike was amazing. Tour guide and driver exceptional. Thanks

  4. Christina_H

A long day, but a wonderful trip with many interesting experiences. We mostly liked the cute elephants. Lisa, the youngest one, was very curious. She preferred eating bananas. She was really sweet. Everybody loved her. But also the other elephants were nice. 😘🐘

  5. Nabiha_K

Really great experience!! I wish I had been more prepared for the trek (right hiking shoes and understanding the steepness of the trek). It’s a very long day but it’s worth it! Note: I’m in my 30s and pregnant!

  6. Sushil_M

The tour was great, by far the best part was feeding and bathing the elephants! The elephants were very friendly and easy to feed and pet. The hike can be challenging for someone who’s not in good shape, but you do get to see a gorgeous waterfall! Highly recommended!

A very memorable day and a favourite of this holiday. It took us a couple of hours to get to the elephant sanctuary but this van was comfortable. It was a great experience to be interact with the elephants (feeding them and bathing them). The forest/coffee plantation walk was great with varied wildlife all around, and then finishing with the two great pagodas in ornate flower gardens. Lunch was very food and the guide and driver were tremendous (Mod and Mr Pet). A great day.

Phenomenal experience. Lulu was our guide and he was hysterical. The whole reason I came to Thailand was for an elephant sanctuary, and this did not disappoint. Wish there were less tours at the sanctuary, but still got some good elephant exposure. Be sure to bring a swim suit if you want to bathe the elephants. The Doi Inthanon was beautiful. Great place for pictures. They don’t provide a lot of detail for the trek, so make sure you know it’s pretty intense. Some steep ups and downs so be sure to have shoes with good grip. It was a legit hike with unlevel terrain. Great hike, but not easy, so be aware.

  9. Argyri_D

Amazing elephant experience , the trekking was amazing especially when we passed from the waterfalls .

  10. Dia_C

It was such a special experience. I felt so good that elephants were treated well. Feeding and bathing the elephants were so happy. The guides were very professional and helping. I recommand this trip with certain.

Elephant sanctuary was amazing. To be up close and to feed and touch these amazing creatures is a once in a lifetime experience. Doi Inthanon was very beautiful. They have an escalator if you did not want to climb all the stairs to the top. The gardens were spectacular. Make sure knees and shoulders are covered if you’re wearing shorts (women). If you forget they do have coverings you can borrow. The trek is not an easy one. Lots of steep uphills and downhills on a dirt path. I am somewhat of an experienced hiker and this one was a bit challenging. Make sure you wear good shoes with a good tread and wear sunblock.

  12. JONATHAN_D

All the destinations were memorable but the time with and information about the elephants were the highlight.

  13. Riley_W

Amazing experience overall! A very busy, well planned day. There is a bit of time spent driving in the car, but the scenery is pretty and worth the views. The tour guides are nice and make sure to include everyone, help with taking photos, and seem like they love what they do. The hike is quite steep, so definitely be prepared for that.

This is a must-do if you’re in Chiang Mai. The guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining. The elephants are soo cute and friendly, lunch was tasty, you get enough time to look around at Doi Ithanon and the trekking was very enjoyable, ending with coffee and tee tasting in a village that specializes in that.
Thank you sexy man Lulu and team!

  15. Akshay_B

We had a great day out and enjoyed seeing the elephants as well as the National park in the afternoon, very well organized trip,

  16. Nemo_S

This tour was absolutely great! Feeding and touching the elephants and even take a bath with them was really a highlight. The lunch was delicious and the hiking in the afternoon was beautiful. But you should have a more or less good condition for the hiking otherwise you will not enjoy it. With this tour you can see a lot in one day. This day was our highlight in Chiang Mai and we can definitely 100% recommend the tour.

We looked at a ton of elephant sanctuary tours and are so glad we chose this one. A long but very fun and well-organized day, and our guide Lulu was great. The elephants were incredible, the baby elephant was so cute, and the animals are clearly well cared for at an ethical sanctuary – they aren’t forced to do something like get in the water etc if they don’t want to. The group at the sanctuary was larger than we expected since our small tour was combined with some others, but everyone still had plenty of time with the elephants and it didn’t feel too crowded. Lunch was delicious, the pagodas were beautiful, and the waterfall hike was so fun and much easier than we expected. If you’re in reasonably good shape and have a pair of any tennis shoes or sport sandals, you’ll be fine – all the steep parts are downhill. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai, you get to see/do a lot and it’s very worth taking up a full day of your trip!

A fantastic day! It involves a lot of travelling on the minibus but we had a really enjoyable experience. It was great to try many different experiences in one day – we loved the rainforest walk including the waterfall visit.

  19. Hecel_Q

Feeding and bathing the elephants was so much fun! The view of the forest and waterfall were so beautiful!

  20. Dra_H

The experience felt very touristy, like you were pushed through an assembly line.
The time for every station was enough, the tour guide was well prepared but his style was too aggressive and sometimes too lengthy.
The elephants were great, looked like they were kept well (there were a few aggressive moves from the employees)
The communication with the team went well, we could even change our pick up location last minute.
What we didn’t like was that during the whole day we were pushed to buy stuff.
During the hike we didn’t like how they treated the local guides, they were put on the spot and generated pity (they don’t have anything to eat, buy stuff to make their kids able to go to school etc.)
Food was pad thai, it was decent, not the best.

  21. Viktor_K

Great tour, which packaged so many interesting and diverse things in one day. Elephants farm was an unforgettable experience, loved hiking as well. Lulu was fantastic as well. We had a great time

  22. Samantha_W

Rainbow was a great guide. The stops on this tour were all really pretty. 9/10 would do again (the lunch was plain pad thai, not really appetizing). Pack snacks.

  23. Jon_D

Excellent trip. Elephant sanctuary exceeded expectations. Two+ hour trek with guide very good. Several waterfalls and pools in which to swim. Terrain quite steep downward, should wear shoes vs flip flops.

  24. jacob_i

Fantastic day! Sexy man Lou Lou (our guide) was fantastic, extremely informative and we got to see a side of chiang mai we wouldn’t of not for this tour! Be prepared for a long 12/13 hour day. Our biggest concern was the elephant sanctuary ethical. IT IS ETHICAL! They make a point of making sure you know where the elephants come from and the fact people visiting makes a difference. Thank you Lou Lou and the team for fantastic day!

  25. Scott_N

We had the best time! Our guide, Mon, was very nice and super knowledgeable. The elephants were so happy having been rescued from logging and circuses, and you could tell. This is a very ethical sanctuary.
While the highlight, for me, was the elephants, the rest of the day was amazing! Pagodas, waterfalls, the highest point in Thailand, and super cool coffee producing village. We saw a lot, but it never felt rushed and was a very relaxed pace. Highly recommended!

  26. Amy_T

It was a terrific but very long tour and there isn’t enough information in the tour description. Let me start by saying a highly recommend this tour for someone trying to see a lot in one day but I’m not sure it would be good for someone with fitness or mobility limits. The guide was great and each experience was incredibly memorable. Bring snacks!
We were picked up at 7am and dropped off at 8:30pm. Thankfully, there was a rest stop on the way to the elephants where we were able to get coffee and breakfast because nothing is open in Chiangmai before 7am.
The elephant experience was amazing. You get a lot of up close time. Lunch is a tasty vegetarian pad Thai. Bring a bathing suit and towel and consider what you want to wear after for the hike. You’ll go in the water with the elephants barefoot because the mud eats even sturdy sandals. It was incredible to be that close and to hear about how these reservations are trying to protect elephants (way better than riding or circuses, less good than not domesticating them in the first place?).
Next is a quick stop at the “top” of Doi Inthanon, then a longer stop at the Royal pagodas, and finally a hike. The flowers at the pagodas were insanely beautiful in April.
For the hike, I wish I had hiking boots or at least sneakers on. I wore sturdy sandals (Tevas) which were fine but not ideal. The hike is stunning but rocky with some very steep parts up and down that are hard on the ankles. It ends at a water fall so you’ll need your bathing suit and towel twice. I wish I had something to change into after the waterfall because my hiking clothes were sweaty.
I went in April during dry season and it was an advanced beginner to moderate hike but if it was rainy season it would have been very challenging in sandals IMO. The trail is dusty dirt that becomes very slippery mud (from personal experience on previous trips to the area). The inclines up are limited and mainly at the start but the down parts are tricky if not as intense. The views are amazing but the high level of pollution during burning season was hard on the lungs and on the photos.
There was no opportunity for dinner before the long drive to our hotel and there are limited restaurants open past 9 in Old Town so you might want to go straight to dinner and bring snacks for the day.

  27. Glenn_D

This was a fun day. The elephants were a hoot. Especially the baby elephant! The “trek” was all downhill, very easy and a good path. Interesting countryside. A long, but fun day.

  28. Katherine_C

Such an amazing day, helping us maximise our time so we could see all the highlights! Lulu our tour guide was fantastic – so knowledgeable and passionate about the elephants. The sanctuary was remote and peaceful and it was so joyful to interact with them! The hike to the waterfall was also a beautiful part of the day, sheltered from the sun under the trees and well worth the effort. Overall, the day was long but perfectly paced, allowing enough time at each stop!

  29. Danny_O

This is a must go experience. Nevertheless, if you are not in good shape it might be a little challenging and therefore something to consider if you are physically incapable to withstand hiking during hot temperatures. The tour guy and all the workers associated with the whole experience were knowledgeable and kind. I believe the value paid for the attraction was fair for what you get. The experience with the elephnats was one of a kind. Moreover, the food was ok and I would have appreciated more variation. Finally, the experience was amazing overall. Please do not forget to reward this hard working people with a tip. They will appreciate it.

  30. EMAD_M

Great trip packing 3 experiences in one! Useful guide and great lunch! Prepare for a long trip though especially if going during the rainy hot season.

  31. Hartley_R

Every body was extremely helpful nice and informative. Even though it’s a full day it goes by quick because it so interesting. You have plenty of time to experience every stop.
