Although this was a big travelling requirement and two long days it was worth it to us. We had terrific guides for both he Gallilopi and Troy tours and we learned so much from them. We also got to stay at Cannerkale which is so picturesque and has a good museum which exploded the naval conflict and completed the whole history of the campaign. The Crowded House team staff were very helpful and friendly and everything was well organised. The hotel at Cannerkale the Grand Anzac was clean and comfortable. It is very tiring but I would do it again as although my knowledge of WW1 was quite good this explained a side I hadn’t really much awareness of and it was a moving experience.

The tour of Gallipoli was fantastic. I got picked up early and we drove for about 4 and a half hours from Istanbul to the peninsula. Unfortunately, the mini-bus was pretty cramped and uncomfortable. One suggestion would be to provide a better bus. After lunch, though, we boarded a much more comfortable coach and visited all the key sites of the campaign including Brighton Beach where they were supposed to land, and then on to Anzac Cove, Lone Pine, the Nek etc. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate, and spoke excellent English. He was outstanding.
I over-nighted in a comfortable enough budget hotel in Cannakale and wandered the quietish streets and found a nice place for dinner on the recommendation of the Hotel Manager.
The next morning I was left to my own devices, as were the other guests, before being collected around 1pm for the Troy tour. There’s not much to do in Cannakale and if the Troy tour was in the morning and guests could then travel back to Istanbul in the afternoon, arriving in the city at a reasonable time rather than 10pm, that would be a definite improvement. Again, our guide for Troy was knowledgeable and this was an interesting if not fascinating tour.
Gallipoli is a must for any Australian visiting Turkey and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon visiting the sites, making the overall experience a very worthwhile one indeed.

Excellently organized. Everything including the pick up from hotels to the tours were on exactly on time. The Gallipoli tour lasted about 3 1/2 hours and Troy Archaeological Site took about 2 1/2 hours. Lunch at restaurant in Eceabat was included on both days and was adequate. Hotel accommodation provided in Canakkale was also suitable with convenient location next to the ferryboat landing,

The guides were absolutely amazing. The had an in depth knowledge of both Troy and Gallipoli.
You were fed for both lunches and a breakfast, dinner is yours to cover
You even had your own time to look around Çanakkale

I thoroughly enjoyed my two day tour. Gallipoli in particular was magnificent. I can highly recommend and is a must do for any Australian in Turkey

This tour was absolutely outstanding and we highly recommend it. My husband and I are from Australia and were particularly interested in the Gallipoli tour. Pick-up from the hotel was on time and well communicated. The bus was modern and air-conditioned, allowing for a comfortable journey with minimal time-wastage. The Gallipoli tour was just incredible. Our guide Bulant was very knowledgable about the history and well equipped to answer our questions. The small group was amazing and allowed us to have a good amount of time at each of the sites which was fantastic. Absolutely exceeded expectations – a must do!!!
When the tour finished, we were taken to the ferry and taken directly to the hotel. We were reasonably impressed with the hotel after having low expectations from previous group tours we have done in other places/other companies. It was a basic clean hotel with a comfortable bed and new bathroom. However the only complaint is that the ventilation from the shower (i.e. not a fan) was a wall vent shared with a larger air pipe and the room next door, which caused cigarette smoke to be blown through our room all night which smelt very very potent.
The next morning we had some free time and enjoyed the town, breakfast was reasonable and again the Troy tour was very smooth. Our driver arrived right on time and everything ran perfectly. Again the small tour allowed us to have time at each site (especially in comparison to the large groups racing through). Our tour guide had good knowledge of the history of Troy which allowed us to appreciate the sites we were seeing. The transfer back to Istanbul ran smoothly. Overall a very well organised company with fantastic tour guides – highly recommend!

Great guides who were so passionate and knowledgeable. Really good, central accommodation and comfortable transport. But it was the guides who made it amazing, thank you.

I was picked up from my hotel in Istanbul early in the morning and then had a long drive down to Gallipoli. We stopped half way at a petrol station that had a restaurant. They provided lunch when we arrived which was nice. The guide we had was very knowledgable and we spent the afternoon exploring all the different areas in Gallipoli. They provided us accommodation in Canakkale which was also nice and we had a free morning to explore the next day. The afternoon was the Troy tour and this guide was also very good. It was a long two days arriving back to Istanbul around 10pm but it was worth it. Thanks for the great tour!

Comfortable transportation. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Approachable and knowledgeable guides. The accommodation at cannakale was in a great location close to the waterfront and F&B.

Our experience was much enhanced by an excellent guide, Chgr, who brought the tragic Gallipoli campaign of 1915 to life through his ability to tell key facts concisely and with great empathy. He made sure to know his audience, a rare trait even with experienced tour guides.

Could not fault the staff enough it was a fantastic and informative tour.
The guides were very knowledgeable. The drivers are very skilled in dealing with Turkish traffic.
