No1 Cooking Class in Tokyo! Sushi Making Experience in Asakusa USD 89.94. Our Cooking class opened in 2024 with the theme of “Japanese Cuisine” and “Experience”.
In this cooking class, we will teach you how to make sushi straight from the beginning!
We will also give a lecture on how to practice at home, not just in the classroom.
You might be able to have a sushi party with nigiri sushi at home!

The ingredients are the real taste that was served at the sushi shop at the counter!
This is a course where you can kill two birds with one stone by learning how to make delicious sushi.

We will prepare dishes while learning about the history of Asakusa and the history of sushi together with staff who can speak English and have a lot of overseas experience.

Groups of 2 to a maximum of 25 people can also participate.
In addition, it is a course recommended for families with children because it is a content that can be experienced by small children.
It is a plan that allows participants to have fun while communicating with each other.
I would be happy if we could create fun memories together while gazing at the scenery of Asakusa, which is full of downtown atmosphere.

Our sushi-making class was a delightful and delicious experience. The hosts were exceptionally kind and gracious, making the art of sushi creation both accessible and enjoyable. Designing our own sushi was a unique adventure. A memorable mix of culinary education and joyful interaction.

The guys doing the session was a very friendly young Uni student with excellent English. However we learned very little. There was little or no learning about knives, fish selection, how to cut fish, the qualities of different fish, the history of sushi, what training a sushi chef undergoes and where. We saw a demo of him shaping rice and putting fish on, did it ourselves, played a short quiz. It was fun and nice but all a bit superficial for what is a fascinating subject.

Finding the location was a bit difficult but when we arrived, it was so much fun. The staff was very kind and considerate. They made the learning and experience fun and we felt truly welcomed.

We really enjoyed our time learning to make sushi! Chef Riku and team were friendly and made us feel welcomed. Can’t wait to practice our new skills when we get home. Thank you Chef Riku!

Yui was absolutely lovely. The venue’s location is stunning – looking over the river at sunset!
Yui was very patient and enthusiastic! We made a lot of sushi! So much variety of ingredients and different styles.

This has been a fantastic experience! The place is very clean with an amazing view. Yudai who was our teacher showed us every step of how to make great sushi in a very entertaining and funny way. I went with my husband and 2 girls and we all had a wonderful time, made and ate a lot of freshly made sushi of our own 😊 Highly recommended and worth doing while in Japan!

What a great, individualized experience. My instructor was knowledgeable and patient and the sushi was delicious!!

  8. Sunny_C

We had a great time here learning to make sushi. The staff were friendly and the food delicious. Can’t beat the location either with a view of the river and rooftop terrace.

  9. Maikel_K

Very nice staff and a fun workshop. Thanks to their instructions the sushis even started to look good.

I took this class solo and didn’t know what to expect. Each person/group has their own table and you are provided a tray with all of the fish cut/prepared. You learn how to make the sushi and then you enjoy eating it. It was entertaining and delicious.
The location is also great. Overlooking the water (with a rooftop deck if you get there early) and a 3 min walk from the Senso-Ji temple (go an hour or two early to combine).

We had a wonderful time learning to make sushi! Our teacher Riku was very patient and enthusiastic
We especially loved the gorgeous view of the river outside, the sushi trivia, and the yummy results 🙂

Restaurant staff will guide you in shaping nigiri sushi with sushi rice and pre-selected fish. You won’t get to select/prepare your fish or learn sushi knife techniques in this experience.
I was informed that there would be a welcome drink, but I was still charged about an extra 700 yen for my drink upon leaving. It would be better if they could have been upfront about whether there was a welcome drink, and/or what was included in the welcome drink.

The instructors were very friendly and made the whole experience so much fun. The class started with a trivia game which loosened everyone up and then we started making sushi with step by step guidance. We were given enough ingredients to make a lot of sushi. The view across the river made for a great backdrop. The only tricky part was finding the restaurant. It would have helped if the restaurant name was in the description.

I loved the view of the River from where we learned how to make sushi. I learned a few new trends that I did not know before. Making sushi is a more complex process than I had thought! Kiyoka was an excellent teacher!
I recommend this class to sushi lovers out there!

Lovely and so happy with the experience, highly recommend. Great views of the venue, friendly stuff and now I know how to do one of my favourites dish.

Hayata was the best sushi instructor I could imagine! He was fun, knowledgeable and we made a lot of sushi!! Thank you for the great memories! I highly recommend this experience.

Great experience with a warm and welcoming team of staff. Held in a restaurant upstairs with a spectacular view of the river, lovely setting and setup inside. It was a very warm day and there were no blinds which made it quite hot.. the aircon eventually kicked in and cooled the area. Learnt some great tips and tricks as to how to make sushi. The quiz was fun and encouraged engagement from all. Had a great time making and eating the sushi!!! The original booking did state we would be taught by a master sushi chef – this wasn’t the case.. it was presented by an English speaking student… wasn’t expecting that.. it was a bit pricey given that it wasn’t a master sushi chef…

Fun experience with a great view of the river and the Asahi building. Food was good and you can have a drink while you do it.

This was one of the first activities I did when I arrived in Tokyo I really enjoyed it. We had some gorgeous views, the weather was amazing and we ate and made sushi. This was a really relaxing experience and I really enjoyed doing this on day 1 of Tokyo highly recommend.

Absolutely the best! We have taken a sushi class before, but this class was far and away more fun! And we learned so much more. If you want to have fun learning along with a great view and fun instructors, this is the place!

We had a delightful and beautiful experience visiting Soba House. My husband and I did a 2-hour Sushi making class while visiting. The experience included a history lesson/quiz on Sushi after that we enjoyed the experience of making Sushi in Japan. We made several different types of Nigiri Sushi and the best part is we ate all of what we made. All of the rolls were absolutely divine and flavorful. We arrived a little early and were invited to visit the rooftop for a beautiful scenic view of the Asakusa Bay Area and Shinjuku.
