If you are staying for one day, or for weeks, Istanbul will exceed your travel expectations, but only if you choose the right guide. This was our one chance to get to know Istanbul, together with our entire, large, extended family. Our family was very fortunate to connect with Taner! What a professional. For big groups, young children, senior citizens, or “all of the above”, Taner will guide your skillfully and with kindness, understanding of special needs and friendship. Istanbul is modern, safe and clean, but it is a bustling and dynamic living city, with ancient history, which could be bewildering and complex if you were to strike out on your own. Thanks to Taner, our large, diverse group was able to comfortably get in the major cultural and historic sites, during a single cruise ship overstay. Taner’s English and communication skills are excellent. He even was able to communicate well with the Spanish only speakers in our family. He really made us all feel at home in his ‘hometown’. Our little girls struck up a friendship with Taner during our tour. They will never forget him. Taner’s knowledge of the history and guidance regarding the unique the local culture, made all of the tour site visits come alive for us. Taner provided a large and comfortable van for our group, which met us and picked us up and dropped us off at strategic points in the city. Taner’s management of the logistics allowed us to have a comfortable walking tour, and really get to know the historic sites scattered throughout the city, substituting vehicle for walking at key locations. I can’t believe how much we got to see in a single day. All of this, despite the fact we had grandma and 3 small children in our group, Taner smoothly moved us seamlessly through the city. To top it off, near the end of the day there was a major traffic jam, but Taner and his driver’s knowledge of the flows of the city, allowed them to “Call an Audible”, and we arrived at the ship calmly and with a comfortable margin. We look forward to returning to Istanbul in the near future, and we’ll be sure to elect Taner as our guide. But, we’ll never be able to repeat our experience, with all of the family together. So I am so thankful that we connected with a guide with, “The Right Stuff”, Taner

We had a tour yesterday with Saban, and cannot say enough good things. He was on time to meet us in the morning and started the day off by introducing us to the tram system. It was cold and rainy, and due to a cruise ship in town asked us what we would like to see after seeing some of the lines we’d have to wait in. Saban was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, and kept the tour very flexible. The cistern was the highlight for me as it was something unexpected. If you come to Istanbul, do not hesitate to book this tour.

Such a great experience with Umit Ozipek. Went through a whole day of touring with our guide Umit who was very knowledgeable about every location we went to. He had many stories throughout the trip he never failed to answer any question we had about Istanbul and its history. Very nice way to see both sides of the Bosphorus. Traveling north you’ll see how the landscape and architecture change on the European side, and the same will happen as you cruise back on the Asian side, too. The crew is very warm and accommodating, as is the yacht itself, very spacious yet intimate. Light snacks of bread and cheese, nuts, apple slices were served with tea and Turkish coffee, all complimentary. Alcohol is available on request at reasonable prices. This was a fun, relaxing and very memorable day that you will definitely enjoy.

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Sema. Our ship was leaving early so it was a short day but we got so much in. Sema is as charming as she is knowledgeable. She is absolutely the master of navigation and line avoidance. From 8:30 to 2:30 we walked around the hippodrome, the Blue Mosque and the Hajia Sofia, visited the treasures of Topkapi Palace, visited the Mosque of the Sultan Ahmet, had Turkish coffee and bought a rug, saw the most beautiful underground cistern, visited a great spice shop and walked around the grand bazaar. We loved every minute and would love to return and have Sema show us more. THE BEST

Good response from the tour operator, Ayhan, to organize the trip when our ship had arrived lately. Our tour guide, Sema, is so experienced and helped us to skip the line when there were so crowded on Sunday. She had organized well that we were able to visit the Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophie and the Topkapi Palace. She had even acted as our photographer too. She had let us have a great travel in Istanbul.

This was a fantastic tour, highlighted by our guides continues flexibility with our limited mobility. We saw much of the city, sites and had a wonderful shopping experience. While I couldn’t retain it all, the vast knowledge and detail of information from our guide was fascinating. Turkey has definitely been a top destination on our trip! Our drivers were great and we deeply thank Akin Guzel for a fabulous tour!

We had a wonderful tour with Belgin who took us to many of the great locations in Istanbul, including the Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, the Bazaar, the Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace and, our favorite, the Basilica Cistern. Belgin was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly and quickly picked up on the interests of our party of five. If I was to do it again, I would ask her to skip the rug salesroom. While it was very interesting to see how rugs are made, and we did purchase one, we would rather have spent more time seeing the sights. This tour is mostly on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the Mosque (long pants/dress and head scarf). Overall, one of my favorite tours I have had in any city as Istanbul has so many wonderful sights.
