Lots of interesting things to see, be prepared for lots of walking, guide was excellent. Be aware that it is very warm in this area in July and August.

I would definitely recommend this tour. A wonderful way to spend the day, the places were beautiful and there were lots of interesting sites to see. Our guide Manuel was excellent, very informative and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed the day even when heavy rainfall began on route to Noto.

After a short slight confusion on pick up time from our hotel we were lucky to join this excellent small tour. The bus was comfortable for 7 people and our guide was informative, friendly and enthusiastic. He had good knowledge in all the stops, ensuring that he pointed out highlights and special features and stories that may be missed on a self tour. Lunch was delicious too. Thank you Luigi for a brilliant trip.

first of all our guide. Danielle thans for a great day. A lovely person which treats people really friendly.
syracuse is good to see but i enjoyed more the first stop which was the city of noto.
the tour operator also included a small picnic which was a lovely touch.

Antonio was a good driver and a personable man. The overall tour could’ve been a little better organized. We sat in the far back of the van, no other seat options, and I could not hear him most of the time. A microphone would have been great! Admissions to Syracuse teatro and some churches were not included, so bring extra cash. Guide could not go in sites with us, so we were left to figure it out on our own and in a time crunch. Snack and wine were nice, but we sat on a scruffy park bench by a concrete sidewalk, near the sea. Good history, nice towns, a good overview of the area, but overpriced tour.

Dario picked us up at our hotel and off we went – his background as a student working on his masters brought an unique perspective to the commentary . We learned about the countryside and the upcoming sites from an ecological angle, even pointing out the fossils in the rock walk before lunch as we walked to Ortygia. We loved learning about this life while we ate! I was so pleased with the passion and care he took in answering our questions . I wish the company would use a mic or a device to amplify his voice. When you sit in the last row of the van, it sometimes was difficult to hear – but he was always kind to repeat. Good choice for anyone wanting to see the ruins and then the glorious town of. Noto!

We usually don’t opt for full-day tours such as this, and we are so glad we did. Our guide, Antonio, picked us up promptly and after picking up the third pair of tourists, we were on our way to Noto. En route, he gave us background on what we’d see there, as he also did before our stops at the ancient sites in Siracusa and in Ortigia. Some of the time he guided us, pointing out details we never saw in our guidebooks. We had some free time at each stop, which was great to take in what we wanted to at our own pace. Our lunch was delicious too…sandwiches and wine. Antonio was clear about where and when to meet him at each stop. He is very knowledgeable about food, wine and the culture of the area. As a bonus, our fellow passengers were very warm and interesting, so we also got a chance to share the experience with people from Spain and Germany. We can confidently recommend this tour to those who are visiting Catania and want to spend a day visiting Siracusa and Noto.

Driver was a frustratwd F 1 hopeful but we git there OK, The tour was slow….oldies, but intyersting all round. Good lunch and wine. Then a quick trip back to Catania. I would recommend it.

Wonderful experience. Our guide was amazing and had a lot of knowledge about history. Lunch was customised based on our preference that was mainly panini and Catania red wine sourced from Etna. We saw churches, local markets, sea, churches, temple ruins.

Iorga was very prompt at pick up which alleviated any anxiety at start of day. He did a good job with his English, he was very passionate and knowledgeable about Ortigia and Noto and provided great insight and information. Syracusa we toured without a guide. Iorga was very hospitable and welcoming- he provided a delightful lunch of a potato pizza he called “Scotchciatta” it was like a calzone, he also provided a delightful wine and cold water for us. The only thing I would have appreciated would be to somehow shorten this day – he did have to translate in 2 different languages- but I am not sure how much time that added to our tour. We had a pick up at 08:40 and did not return home until nearly 19:30. It was a bit long to maintain interest. He should also provide more opportunity for using restrooms and in a nearly 11 hr day perhaps an opportunity for a refreshment after lunch. So this may be counterintuitive to shortening the day but perhaps eliminating one stop and adding these opportunities for refreshments and using bathrooms would be helpful.

Wir wurden sehr gut betreut, vielen Dank. Unsere Mitfahrer Gäste von Nah und Fern. Gerne wieder mit Viator. Fahrzeug war ein bischen holperig aber das hat ja auch seinen Charme. Vielen lieben Dank an unsere Leiterin.
