This was supposed to be the fast tour of the Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island, but we moved at a snails pace and spent way to much time on trivial things. We finally left the tour and went through the museum on our own as well as Ellis Island. Don’t pay for a tour, just take the trip on your own.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the historical aspect of places. We took a girls getaway and did as many things as possible in a few days. The Ellis island museum is huge and we could have spent a week in there. The stories of the emigrants were moving and I learned so much.

We loved this tour and we learned a lot. Our guide James was great. Getting on and off the boats is a little tuff but James watched the crowd and made sure we would get on at the right time so we could get a great spot on the boat.

The sights were great. It seemed that the guide was knowledgeable, but with a big crowd on a busy day, I mostly struggled to hear the stories/history, which was one of the big reasons for signing up for a tour in the first place (as opposed to just going it alone).

Excellent tour of Liberty and Ellis Islands with personal connections from the tour guide. Ray was a great guide, he was compassionate and patient with guests and answered questions/cleared up misconceptions with grounded knowledge and understanding of the area. Great job!

David was pleasant and interesting, but the group was too large to feel personal and for the relatively high fee of $75 per person — $25 for the boats and $50 per person for the guide — the group should have been 12 or under. David got separated with part of the group and we ended up waiting at the designated meeting spot – standing out in the rain. Obviously the weather was not his fault — but the group size clearly overwhelmed him. David also did not offer much guidance about how to approach the Ellis Island museum— as he was leaving us. Finally he did not discuss the option of climbing the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.
