The trip was good except that when we arrived we had to wait for more than an hour to verify that I have paid and I was told I had a reference number that doesn’t exist. This was embarrassing as I was treated like an intruder.

We opted for the late afternoon cruise as we heard the hippos were more active as evening comes. We were not disappointed. There were hundreds of hippos in the water, even lots of baby one! The boat was respectful and kept its distance but got close enough for us to see the animals. Fascinating experience, so glad we went. There weren’t very many people on the boat so we had the entire upper/outside level to ourselves.

This was a waste of time in my opinion. The Captain was completely disinterested in his onboard charges and the view of the animals we were supposedly seeing. The guide was nothing short of bored the entire trip, answering questions in as few words as possible and pointing out as little as possible.

Guide had excellent knowledge of the park, as well as the behaviors of the animals. This whole experience was so magical with the beauty of the area, beauty of what they to do preserve this park, the vast area that is being preserved and the info that has been given. Fantastic friendly crew. Great sightings of many species. Really enjoyed the trip. Crocs both basking,and swimming. Close up Hippos all over. Fish Eagles,water monitors etc.
