Danny our four guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable . The lunch in Handoff was delicious with lots of it, we even got to bring our dessert with us to our hotel as the our tour bus had a fridge on board!
The whole tour from start to finish was fantastic

Thoroughly enjoyed the various stops and professionalism of Danny C. Great lunch venue too. Danny was very thorough in his knowledge of the area. Very flexible to accommodate us all. Thank you.

All inclusive trip. No hidden extras. Danny was great. Choice of vineyards and German restaurant are great. Well timed with no hurry.

  6. Anne_B

Good commentary. Nicely timed tour with a variety of places to visit. Lunch only fair, actually disappointing. Is there somewhere nicer you could choose for lunch? The roast pork was very ordinary and the strudal was not spicy enough to be a authentic German apfelstrudel.

The tour was enjoyable and tour guide was knowledgeable.
The wineries we visited were great. However in my opinion the cheese and chocolate factory were just shops to buy from them, we were not showed the actual factory, so personally I didn’t find them interesting. I would remove them and pair wine and cheese at the first winery as we were having wine at 11am on empty stomach. Hahndorf stop could be longer as there is a lot to explore. The menu that we preordered from did not have all variety of the actual restaurant menu, there was very little to choose for a vegan.

A very pleasant touring to Hahndorf. Danny our guid for the day was excellent. Hahndorf is a very scenic village. Lunch at the German Arms Hotel was fabulous. 2 winery tours, chocolate factory a must. Great day

Wandering the street in Handorf and hearing all of the history about the areas we visited.
The Strawberry place was amazing as were the wines we tasted.
The lunch was topped off the food experience especially the apple strudel – best I’ve had

Not enough tasting which is what the tour is about. No tasting at the Jam factory or melbas chocolate factory. Asked if we wanted to taste some cheese, obvious answer is yes. The first wine tasting was very good at Sidewood Cellar (?) good interaction with staff and plenty of information. Howard’s winery very disappointing, given the wine to taste and left to discuss amongst the group. Apart from being ideal number of five of us in the group I wouldn’t recommend the tour. Have done others in Australia which have been far better with tastings at every stop and more stops included.

Danny gave a great tour and commentary to make for a very enjoyable day. Got to see quite a bit with the food & wine stops being just about the right amount. Lunch was a highlight with the stop in the village a good excursion.

I had such a wonderful time on thee tour to the Adelaide Hills wineries. First we stopped at Mt Lofty and the looked over the city of Adelaide. Danny gave such a good introduction to the founding of Adelaide and Hahndorf. The lunch was good and the wineries were beautiful. There was quite a deletion of the different wines in the area.Danny’s funny jokes and insight made all the more enjoyable.

We had a lovely time on this day trip. Our guide, Ennez, was wonderful. It was a nice small group of 6 of us. The wine tasting were fantastic and Handorf is such a quaint, beautiful town. Recommend to everyone.

This tour was v good. By coincidence only my family was on this trip that day, felt like a private tour.
We enjoyed all the stops. The lunch at German Arms was v good. There was ample time to walk around Hahndorf too

  16. Rodney_L

We had plenty of time to enjoy each stop and get to know our fellow travellers. Danny was a well-informed guide and driver.

  17. Deborah_B

Hahndorf is a Commercial/Tourist trap. It might have been German years ago, but that is long gone. Make sure you check what you buy, a lot of made somewhere elseand it’s not Germany
