I love Penguin Parade when the Penguin walked as long as broadwalk, we chose Penguin Plus it’s worth just we came late so not get very good spot, but after some people were done we had chance to get good spot and to see Penguins out of their habitat in the ocean…hundreds…Amazing! Well the other stop before reach Penguin Parade was Ok, small place but my kids could feed kangaroos. The Koala conservation were not many Koala seen at the time, but was just fine.

The penguins are a must-see, and the VIP seating highly recommended. Going with a big group on a big bus is not great, a small group package is much nicer. Not even water was provided.

Driver Jeff was very nice and funny. It was super cold so the tour guys could have suggested carrying blankets along. Tour was well planned

Weather was bad so that somewhat taints my review. The first stop was an outdoor park with some caged animals. The rain was so bad we didn’t leave the snack shop. Although Dane did an excellent job In commentary while driving, once he realized there was nothing to do there because of the rain, cutting the time might have been a better option. The ext stop at the wild sanctuary was great. Weather had improved and there were lots of animals in the wild…some within a few feet for viewing. The next stop was for lunch. The town we stopped at was great, try the Itailian restaurant that sits nearest to the water for good food at a reasonable price (Dane’s recommendation) The last stop was for the pengiun viewing and it was a complete bust. We went to the visitor center about a half an hour before the penguins were to start their march. Unfortunately, lightning in the area caused the park staff to recall all the tourists back to the visitor center while the storm passed. They allowed tourists to return at 915 but the bus was to leave at 930 so seeing the march was not possible given the time constraint. No refund for the admission to the park was offered so we spent about 7 hours getting there but no penguins. Again, weather played a huge part in our experience but Dane did his best to keep us amused on trip.
My advice is cancel or.poatpone this trip if the weather is bad…too long a drive if you dont see the penguins

A really fascinating event, watching the little penguins come out of the sea and walk to their burrows and nesting boxes, a long walk for some. We also saw swamp wallabies and several species of birds.
Liked that we visited Warrock, a small private animal farm/refuge where I saw Llamas, camels, Kangaroos, Emus, Rabbits and Guineas. Had a great meat pie for lunch.
I saw 6 of the Koalas, although they were sleeping high up in the trees, were visible and not hard to find.
The driver/guide, Suzi, was very friendly, helpful and informative. Would rate her the best driver ever for getting the bus around in the traffic in Melbourne and for dropping people off at or very near their accommodation, or giving information on where to get other transport for people out of town.

This was an amazing experience. Samantha our ranger was wonderful. We were able to hear everything she said and we were given binoculars to see penguins as they were coming out of ocean.

We love our stopover at the Koala Preserve on Phillip Island. Our tour bus driver was really friendly and knowledgeable. We wish we could have been able to take pictures of the penguins but we understand. Amazing tour and ery memorable!

Seeing the little penguins was so special. They were unbelievably cute. We had great seats with the premium tour. Maybe three feet away from the little guys. I had a fall on the seats/steps and the crew there took fabulous care of me. The driver of the bus was knowledgeble and helpful. We got back much later than expected, 1:30 am compared to 9:30 pm as originally thought, the driver brought us all the way back to the cruise ship. Unexpected and very kind of her. Altogether a great tour and trip! Only better would have been to take pictures, but, understand the reasons.

Penguins were the best memorable experience, but koalas, birds, wallaby viewing was also so good. The tour guide was good.

This tour is excellent value for the 3 places we visited. The koala conservation park was a wonderful way to see the koalas in their natural habitat sleeping in the trees. We also stopped at the Knobbes park where you could see absolutely stunning ocean views and rock formations from a boardwalk. Being able to view the ocean from a boardwalk is such a safe and easy way to see the landscape, especially at sunset. The Philip Island Penguin parade was unlike anything I’ve seen. There were roughly 1500 penguins that came ashore that night. There are rangers who count them every single night! I paid $25 extra for a premium viewing area, which was well worth not having to fight the crowd for a good spot to see the little critters as they come out of the ocean. Highly recommend this tour!

Seeing koalas & the blue penguins was the highlight. However as our driver (Peter) also took us to see the GP race circuit & his favourite beach.. which involved a 200m each way walk through sand to a sea view.. this delayed our arrival at the Visitor Centre by an hour. We then had to queue for 40 mins for food.. in a rush to eat it.. leaving us arriving at the Premium viewing area at dusk where we then had to stand as the penguins were already arriving on the beach. It made it very stressful at the end as my wife (with a broken arm) couldn’t sit down to enjoy the experience we’d paid for. Some people weren’t able to get food at all due to the timing.

The trip was canceled at last hour due to changes in pick up location. We would have been informed in advance. So our full day wasted

The wildlife spotting was amazing. The guide was inciteful and you could tell she really loved her job.

Fiona was truly the best. This was a perfect tour! A highlight of our trip!
A trip to Phillips island must not be missed when traveling from the other side of the world.

This was a great tour with stops at a Koala reserve where we watched a koala bear climb around and munch on Eucalyptus leaves. Two other sightseeing stops with lots of Wallabies and then the evening Penguin parade where there were literally hundreds of them coming ashore headed for their burrows. Dandy, our tour guide with Utopia Tours was the best. He had all the local knowledge and went out of his way to make the tour great. We were the last one’s off the bus back in Melbourne late that evening and instead of dropping us at the pre-arranged point about 6-7 minutes’ walk from our hotel, he went out of his way to drop us half a block away. One could tell he enjoyed what he was doing and therefore so did the tour participants.

Wonderful day trip from Melbourne. Our guide Vicky told us what to expect and the day did not disappoint! Vicky is knowledgeable, personable, helpful, and a good driver. Our stop at the koala preserve was an added bonus. But the highlight was the incredible parade of little penguins!! For all nature lovers this is a must see event. Absolutely fantastic!

To experience a first time close-up views of penguins and koalas are definite the highlights of this trip. Will return.

Amazing day at Phillip Island. Most incredible experience was actually seeing the penguins coming out of the water and up close on the way to their burrows.Very well organised tour.Guide was informative and helpful.

Our guide, Dandy (Nathan), was excellent. He was informative, funny and showed us some great parts of the island in addition to the scheduled stops. The Koala conservation center provided for close up viewing of the animals. The numbers of penguins at the little penguin parade was incredible.
