The Opera house was very beautiful and there were signs with information. Unfortunately, they had some guides that you could download but, on a phone they were just too small to read. Also, there were only two doors open in a box to see the actual theater so this was quite crowded and presented problems. It would be better if there was an organized way to let people in to see the Auditorium.

Go there as soon as they open at 10am so you will enjoy it without crowds. It’s small so you can finish the whole thing in less than an hour..but it’s so beautiful a must see! Also it’s better to be there early if you don’t want to wait in line forever. The guards don’t speak English so that’s a bit of a barrier.

Make sure you take out an audio guide to get the most out of the experience. The stories of the people who made the Palais Garnier a reality are fascinating as are the stories about the composers and famous characters, the Phantom of the Opera being one of them. Enjoy!
