Visited this special location at the end of June. In terms of crowds, fine to do and we deliberately went after noon. The 4 Museums are nice to book with and these are small but informative. Food is affordable and of excellent quality and don’t forget to walk through the “shopping street” because the waiting times for a table are much shorter or even non-existent further uphill. Walking is a long way from the car parking so take the shuttles then you have enough energy to climb all those stairs.

August is of course a busy travel season…but the crowds a Mont-Saint-Michel were packed. You do not need to pay an entry …but if you want to see the 4 museums you have to pay extra and if you want to go to the top of the Mont and see the Abbey which is really the best spot …you will have to pay 11 euros for that. But that is the best place to see the view and surrounding area. NOTE: take the shuttle bus from the parking lot. the shuttle bus is free the parking you have to pay for.

very interesting package. We learn the history of the mount from the sea, the land, the beliefs and its values. In the museum of the sea there is a lack of seating to watch the history of the tides and the rescue projects of the bay. 4 small museums in their own juice, which give a beautiful goal to the visit of the site. I recommend the 4-visit pack.
