Very nice Presentation of some of Manilla. A very Nice memory. The old City was very pretty, and the guide was very good, and the driver as well.

Neil was so great! We were lucky and it was just my partner and I. He was so informative and happy to discuss all things Manila with us. He was helpful in giving us tips on how best to travel around the city.

  3. Melinda_R

Frank our tour guide was lovely. He covered everything & was most happy to help with our additional questions

  4. Oyindamola_O

Highly recommend as it covers a lot of ground. Not only were the pre-planned destinations worth it, but the views in transit as well. The driver and operator were flexible to accommodate our preferences such as being back at our hotel at a specific time.

American Cemetery and Rizal monument. Frank was a superb guide and Ronnie kept us safe on the road. Enjoy!

Mr. Frank is a very good tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and he speaks good English. Overall, we enjoyed the tour.

I had been to Manila numerous times before and, frankly, was a bit skeptical about spending hours touring a city I thought I knew well. Wow, was I wrong. I learned a lot about Manila and the Philippines, thanks greatly to our guide “Nori”. I highly recommend this tour.

Overall, this was a good, educational tour. I enjoyed seeing Makati, Manila Bay area, and the Agustin Church. I liked Rizal Park a lot. The tour guide was knowledgeable and the driver was good. I didn’t like having to change pickup locations which costs me an additional 600 Pesos from my hotel and back especially since I was the only person boarding at the new pickup point. I also didn’t like having to leave Rizal Park before getting a picture I had taken. Ft. Santiago was nice, but we could have waited 5 more minutes at Rizal for me to get my picture

In particular our guide was superb. His knowledge of the history of the Phillipines and the region was impressive. We particularly enjoyed the Manila American Cemetery and all of the Intramural area.

The tour consisted of a “new” part, which is basically driving past a wall listening to stories of how rich people living behind it are, driving past a casino and driving past the mall of asia. Might be of interest to some people, but it’s a lot of time wasted on little experience.
The “old” part is a visit to the American Cementry and to Intramuros.
Unfortunatly our tour guide seemed rushed and unmotivated. He provided little information on his own in addition to what signs around e.g. Intramuros provided. While he did encourage us to ask for details, there was not much information shared to inquire about additional info.
Especially disturbing were the guide’s snarky remarks about the less fortunate population living in the shanty areas around Manila and the praise for the rich and famous (and corrupt/criminal).
The tour operation was flawless, we got picked up and dropped of at our hotel eventhough it was not on the pickup list, water and umbrellas for the rain were provided and we felt safe throughout the trip.
All in all the value for money is minimal, as most of the information we got can be gained from a 10 minute internet research, and in more detail.

Frank was a great guide. Very informative and accommodating. Seeing this area with a guide is so much better than going on your own.

  12. Vincent_C

The tour guide has shared a lot of history of Manila to me which allows me to understand more about the city

Fernando was great. Very interesting sites. Enjoyed learning about the history of Panamá. Nice to see the sites

As tourists visiting the country, I felt like our limited time and schedules are at a premium. I chose this tour because I had felt 4 hours approximately was a good time before we needed to get to our next plans.
I should have known and guessed Manila traffic would significantly dampen our experience.
Was ready to be picked up at our hotel, but that was late. Went all the way to Makati still for the American Cemetery. After that, drove back to drive by malls and hotels (I am not sure why this is a stop, as it was not in the description). Tourists do not care about malls and new hotels, this was a massive waste of time.
By the time we were back at Intramuros it was close to 5 pm and getting dark out. I had to ask to be dropped off early and miss the rest of the tour because of just going way over time.
All in all I paid $148+ for two people, to visit one spot and drive through a stretch of hotels. Felt the least value I have ever paid for. Sure, I left on my own accord but that’s because of poor time management on their part. We’ve got places to see and be at.

A great way to get to know the city quickly as well as it’s history. How guide was lovely, helpful and informative.

  16. Gilberto_T

The tour was great and Fernando filled with a lot of information regarding Manila and the various places we visited.
The only negative of the the tour was that there was not confirmation sent to me via email or a call on the day of the tour. We weren’t sure where we were suppose to meet at the Conrad building nor an exact time of when we would be picked up. Finally my friend was able to get through to someone and was told that at the main entrance and we would be called, which did happen!!!

Really good tour, guide was super knowledgeable. Just the right amount of driving and stops. Great way to get a quick overview of some of the different parts of Manila.

  18. Susan_C

The guide was knowledgeable. But we were in a van most of the time and couldn’t really see much. We just stopped at a few places to get photos then left. We spent the most time at the US Cemetery. I wish we would have taken a tour of other parts like China town.

My partner and I were visiting from california. We both have never been to Manila. It was nice to sit and relax in an air conditioned tour van while we were taken through old and new parts of Manila. Our tour guide, Nori was so informative. We learned so much about the history of the Philippines as well as the future plans of Manila.
My favorite part was visiting the American WW2 memorial cemetery. The grounds were beautiful. Entry into the facility is only allowed for tour groups and foreigners. (I don’t understand why they are so strict on their own citizens – makes me sad).
Another fascinating stop was Fort Santiago. We were all invited to crawl through the torture chambers – very sad to think that so many people were treated like garbage by the Japanese there. Our tour guide suggested we try to feel the emotions of the people were brought there. So tragic.
Walking through old Manila and the cobble stone streets and horse drawn carriages felt like a stark juxtaposition from the private cities like BGC and Ayala (new Manila). The contrasts are very apparent and fascinating to see.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Manila for the first time. You get a really amazing overview of the city. Also gives you a chance to revisit places of interest that we drove past along the tour route.
As an American, we tend to tip for amazing service. So we tipped both our driver and tour guide. You should do the same as I’m sure they don’t make much money for doing this.
    Highly recommend!!!

Our guide was poor, not interested and hardly told us anything factual. Very limited info but we had a better guide at Fort Santiago. Shame as there was a lot more information that could have made the tour better value and fun.
