First the conclusion: 24h ticket doesn’t make sense – definitely take a 3 day ticket then you can stay a little longer at stations! Apart from that good! Stops should be better published here in the app beforehand. Now to the routes: Purple Route was great! You get a lot of history from downtown LA and see great buildings! Was the first route for us! Red Route: In itself, there should be a lot to tell about central Hollywood! Unfortunately, the audio guide has degenerated into a pure shopping recommendation. Little useful information about the history and the development in recent years etc. Impressive are the many tourists who meander through the streets! Attention tall people: the bus has one more row of seats at the top and therefore almost no legroom! Yellow Route: St Monica, Beverly Hills-very nice towns and good stops! Unfortunately also a bit too much advertising. But overall a nice round.

LA is incredibly big and the traffic is horrible. Driving through the city with the bus and the audio guide, on the other hand, is relaxed. Unfortunately, the bus frequency is very long at 45 minutes with a route duration of 2 hours. Unfortunately there wasn’t much with hop-on/hop-off. Especially since one of our buses failed completely and we had to wait well over 1 hour for the next bus at one stop.

Great experience with buses on time and no problems whatsoever. We were on 6 different buses and only 1 had the audio guide wrong due to broken audio jacks. The only drawback; Of course you want to sit upstairs to take in as much atmosphere as possible, especially for the Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills… unfortunately it’s not protected from the sun upstairs – that can get very tiring after a few hours. But there are providers with a sun deck – you have to think twice about it. After reading the reviews from many users, we were really skeptical about the tour, but we were not disappointed. Maybe it’s the day of the trip – it was a Monday for us and it was very relaxed.
