Kibera is not for the faint of heart; it’s an overcrowded district where some of the poorest people in Kenya struggle to make life work for them. Kevin makes it all come alive for you, giving you a sense of the challenges and possibilities for its residents; he’s a generous and thoughtful host. Truly eye opening and well worth the time. As a note, wear shoes that you can afford to get dirty as this is a tour that’s heavy on the walking.

Our tour with Kevin, a local who grew up and still lives in Kibera, was an eye-opening view into the life’s of the residents of Kibera.
We felt it was of particular importance to our 14 year old daughter to see that people’s lives are often quite different outside of her ‘bubble.’
