Unfortunately the driver didn’t tell us much. After the stop in Nizwa, he either spoke on the phone or heard / answered voice messages while driving. As a result, he was very inattentive and often far too quickly when driving up and down the mountain. The constant beeping in the car because of excessive speed on the highway was very exhausting. The lunch was unfortunately not on the mountain in Misfah and not a local specialty, but on the street in the back of an Indian snack bar. After lunch the driver wanted to take him back to Muscat and only by our advice that something was missing, he then took us up the mountain to Misfah. Unfortunately, he did not accompany us there, like all the other guides, on the hike along the great trails. All in all, the excursion with over 200, – pp was therefore much too expensive and disappointing.

Very friendly guide, Fahad, who spoke at length about the culture and history of Oman, and Nizwa in particular. His English was excellent, and with his university degree, the explanations were very varied and interesting. We were given ample time to take beautiful pictures and he helped us by giving tips. Definitely recommended.
