That’s for selling us a trip that didn’t exist!! We got contacted the day of our boat trip at 8.25 to inform us the 10.30 time didn’t exist abs could we be there for 8.30? Bit impossible with 3 small kids!!! We managed to find a time on our last day in cairns – lucky!! But cannot understand how you’re allowed to sell times that don’t run and obviously don’t communicate with the boat company at all. NOT HAPPY!
Rooney_D –
Amazing first time experience green island and barrier reef cannot wait to do it again with the kids am going to recommend it to all family
Jon_H –
Got to the island, they had no water or food ready.
When the food shops finally opened they had no vegetarian options, no salads, No sandwiches and only this horrible vege patty burgers.
The water had jellyfish everywhere that the dove shop didn’t tell us about and my family got stung pretty badly.
Haider_N –
It was an amazing experienced and lovely staff.
The Cruise was beautiful and comfortable.
We had great time snorkelling at green island and saw a lot of amazing creatures under water.
Craig_S –
No point supporting the tourism industry if operators are too stingy to accommodate their patrons with simple things such as food availability…absolute disgrace…not worthy of getting people back to these spots
Tracey_C –
A beautiful and unique island, loved the glass bottom boat tour. We also did the rainforest walk and had a yummy lunch by the pool.
TERISA_S –
Beautiful boat ride even though weather was raining all day
We wished we had booked earlier for scuba doo & learn introduction to diving but it was fully booked so maybe next time
We did go on glass boat & was happy to see so many fish & even though rainy day the water was clear for us to see the corals & fish. The Great Adventures crew very helpful & friendly

I would like to pay more for this tour so that lunch is included. The food at the resort was very limited – only chicken nuggets, chips, and wedges when we ordered. I would like a staff member to direct us on the island to our next activity. Had to pay $40 for sunbeds on the beach & $25 to see the crocodiles. The boat was late to pick us up in the morning. I would not want to go on this tour/boat ride again.

Great half day trip, glass bottom boat and snorkeling was fabulous and the guide and staff really helpful.

The glass bottom boat experience was fantastic. Better than anticipated. The weather was magnificent.

This is just a pickup and drop off service. Nothing exciting. Island is just money making business, nothing maintained at all. No vegetarian food available there except ice-cream and chips. Water is very shallow which is good for kids to get into water.
We accidentally drop a hat into water which flowed toward platform there were few people swimming. We were to board our boat ride. The Lady helping to board advised us that she will get the hat from water and keep it with her until our boat comes back in 30 mins. When we came back, the lady said the hat sinked. I don’t think that hat can sink as it was made of woven bamboo and very light weight. It was floating in front of us for 20 minutes and it wasn’t there by the time we came back. It was expensive hat so I could guess what happened to it. Very disappointed.
Luckily I did another tour just couple of days before this one and that was amazing. I wanted to experience similar at different location so I choose this one and that was a mistake.

Apart from the terrible weather and bumpy ride, it was a memorable experience. The glass bottom boat trip was good, with the sides pulled down to keep us dry. Lots of fish to see.
Due to the weather we didn’t get a chance to try the other features but did the rainforest boardwalk which was great.

The weather was terrible, cold, rain and wind. There was no advice on this until check in and people who booked direct could cancel with refund but not if booked through viator. People were very sick on ferry crossing due to rough seas. There are no indoor or warm showers available to day visitors and little shelter. The free snorkeling great did not include safety equipment! We had to pay extra for life jackets.

Everything went well until the trip back to main land. The ferry was packed with no space to even stand. My mom and son struggled until finally some people offered their seats. There need to me more ferries arranged to take people back comfortably and safely
Stacy_N –
It was value for money & we enjoyed the croc experience on the island. However, we found The Low Isles has more to see in the water, beautiful coral and lots of fish. We would still recommend Green Island as it is lovely to visit different islands.

After Fitzroy island, this place was so amazing my 8 yrs old went out by herself we confidence! A really family friendly place team we’re great and I must say we will be coming back again before the end of our trip!
Barbara_E –
Beautiful island, walked all around it and was away from crowd.
Only 3 stars because snorkel gear was no good ( exchanged but still water coming in ) and didn’t get good info where snorkling is good. Next time I will have my own gear and know I need to stay near jetty rather than trying g to snorkel all around island.
Lynden_S –
Had a lovely relaxing day, glorious sunshine! Fish were so colourful and entertaining! Plenty of time to enjoy lovely lunch and read a book waiting for our return ferry!
Brenda_R –
A relaxing day snorkelling around Green Island seeing an abundance of fish, turtles and rays.
Staff on the Reef King went above and beyond when the seas became a little choppy ensuring everyone was ok.
Beth_H –
For the most part was a very friendly crew – we had a bit of ageism thrust upon us – a younger crew member (female) was going around from row to row telling people about the island and the amenities, then she skipped my grey haired husband and went directly to the people behind us. Then a a short time later, a grey haired crew member (female) came around to explain to us the amenities on the island. My husband was a bit taken aback. Other than that – the ride was good, the island lovely, the staff at the food counters remarkable, the glass bottom boat tour very pleasant. Recommend the eco tour!
