Visit to Setenil and Ronda: you can do better. The meeting point for the departure is poorly marked. Upon our arrival there were other groups but it was not clear which bus was taking who and where. Finally departed, late, the bus guide spoke mainly Spanish (thank goodness we Italians understand a bit of everything). He should have said the same things in English too, but he only said a tenth of them. Unfortunately he didn’t even tell much along the way, not even when he reached setenil, the first stop on the tour. We read what we learned online once we got there. In setenil they lead to see only the two main routes in the rock. We then explored the place in just under an hour. Let’s say that you could have been less if the goal is two ways. Once you have left, you will arrive in Ronda where a local guide awaits. Here she is fantastic. He loves his city and speaks Spanish and English very well. A whole other level than the guide that accompanies the bus.

Booked the excursion because the group was small (22 p.) and had very good reviews. Haven’t been disappointed, Ronda is unique and magical, as is Sentenil. Luckily we were in Ronda around 10 a.m., around noon it got pretty crowded. The guide Carmen was great, explained everything bilingually (English, Spanish). Rafael, a very nice driver, took us everywhere safely. The visit to the bullring in Ronda is impressive.

A fantastic day trip from Malaga. The balance of time spent between Ronda and Setenil was perfect! Both locations delivered what was promised in the program, so you won’t be disappointed! Everything went to plan: we set off punctually, received factual information about what we were seeing along our bus journey (which was a bonus) and learned so much about our two locations from our knowledgeable and friendly guide, Carmen. Having both guided and free time was a great mix – Carmen’s overview before setting off on our own was so useful and enabled us to make the most of our free time. We learned so much more about our locations from her than had we just gone their on our own… and why not let someone else do the driving?!? Top marks for this fabulous experience!
