We were able to visit the Escurial with a very funny and interesting guide! We were able to descend into the pantheon and were treated to a few anecdotes. at the request of some people, we were able to take some time in the small village to go for a drink and something to eat. We then continued to the Valley where we visited the basilica with the guide, then we were able to enjoy some free time, before returning to Madrid.

Absolutely, Great!! These 2 historical sites., paired… of “The Valley of the Fallen, is very impressive. it’s history is unbelievable and the Escorial Aqueducts system is a true site of the Roman Empire. Too top that off.. Our Guide “Cristina”was AMAZING, super informative and very well educated on the history of the kings, and their heirs history.. she made all the information flow and fun. we walked away with tons of information. Loved the tour highly recommend it.. it was worth the time. And they stick to their schedules, very reliable and punctual. We loved our guide “Cristina” ty for a great day. Barbara Ortiz

It would be difficult to visit these two sites by public transit, and not worth it to rent a car for a day. As a result this is a very convenient and efficient way to get to them. The disadvantage, as always, is that you are on someone else’s schedule and may not have the time to explore that you might like. On the whole we were happy to have chosen this tour.
