Overall a nice trip. My highlight was definitely swimming at the falls (the fish nibbling on your skin are only at the beginning. Once inside, they leave you alone). I was a bit disappointed with the museum and the bridge. Both only a stop of 15 minutes, look briefly, then continue. But I gather from other reviews that this was perhaps due to our guide. She was very friendly and always smiling, but was rather unmotivated to talk to us more than necessary. She only spoke broken English and explained very little. She always asked us how long we want to stay, but how should we decide that without information and without knowing what to discover. In retrospect, I would have liked to have had more time in the national park, because it was really beautiful there. One way takes about 3 hours, but there is also a break for the toilet or to buy snacks. I would recommend the trip overall.

Long and lovely day trip. Did feel a little rushed at the Bridge over the River Kwae, however I guess once you have seen it, walked over it and taken a few pictures… there is only the numerous stalls for tourists and restaurants along the River!
Luckily not horrific traffic on the return and back at the pick up point for 7.15pm.
Erawan was lovely, very pretty and the 7 different waterfalls and levels provided plenty to do and sights to see. The natural pools at each level had plenty of fish which were fond of nipping at you, similar to a fish spa experience so not harmful.

Brilliant trip with our excellent guide Tic Tac, and driver Pongsac. It’s a long drive but worth it for the mix of history and nature. There was enough time at the Jeath museum and the Bridge on the River Kwai to get a feel for the place. Tic Tac’s information about the places was really good.
The waterfalls were great fun. Worth it to hike straight to L7 and swim before the hike down, visiting other levels as you go. It took longer than I thought to get down, but I made it in time to find we were waiting for others. I’m glad I did the trip as it was different to Bangkok. .
