Our guides were really enthusiastic in searching for mantas for us! Glad we got to see one, even if it was just one. I didn’t like the lag time between activities, it felt like ‘dead time’. The fast boat was great to get us there but the boat back was older and didn’t have much air circulation, so would appreciate fans to also be installed in the older boat.

Do it! You won’t regret it. This was one of the most fantastic experiences of my travels! They stop at 3 different locations for you to look at coral/fish and other marine life and the last stop you have a 95% chance of seeing Manta Rays! Overall a 4 star experience, they only allowed us about 10 mins with the Manta Rays which was a shame as that is what we are all going for. Oh and one last thing, sunblock between swims on the boat – many of us got burnt quite badly due to the reflection on the water – enjoy!

Pick up was in downtown Ubud in front of Ubud Palace, then a ferry ride to the island, a drink and we were off on another boat for the snorkeling adventure. Find and Google’s were included and almost immediately we saw three Manta Rays! We stopped at two other locations including one coral reef shelf along a cliff edge, that was awesome! Then we had lunch back at the drink place. There you put almost all your belongings in a locker, just fyi! Then we did kayaking through the mangroves, which was super fun. Then a ferry back to the mainland and a taxi ride back to your drop off point.
