Amazing crew, beautiful views and delicious food. Very chill vibes only wish the sunset was clearer.

Staff on captain Cook cruises was great, friendly and made you feel welcome. Only thing I could comment about was the flat coke they were serving with the spirits/whisky but I just bought cans of coke instead and asked for whisky on the rocks instead.

The whole crew were extremely friendly and we were greeted with a complimentary drink. Beautiful sunset, however was a little difficult to get the perfect shot while everyone else on board wanted to do the same. Our meal was a little unexpected as we thought the buffet would be a bit more of a traditional meal. Absolutely loved the cultural show and the interaction with everyone on board.

Drink was bubbly or mocktail so disappointed it wasn’t the arrival cocktail.
    Gluten free appetisers not available.
Lobster was good thankfully as otherwise the buffet would have been cross contaminated

The lobster meal was delicious. Yes the dinner is allocated seating. Staff are delightful… it was a great night. Beautiful night

Great scenery, great positive atmosphere. Amazing buffet food and dessert. The staff and crew members were accommodating to a bridal party and their wish to leave the boat due to motion sickness. We turned around and allowed them to depart, however the staff continued with the rest of the show despite being back on dock. Truly a special night! Big shout out to the main crew member (forgive me as I’ve forgotten your name, however it does start with M) who was also the MC for the night. His calmness and gentleness was appreciated. Great guitar singing from him and dancing. He was the star of the show and incredibly funny too!

After our organised transfer we were taken to Port Denaru where we only had a short wait for the cruise to depart. On boarding, we were offered a champagne (or juice) and sat in chairs on the fore deck where the crew were introduced and we were given a short talk, plus questions and answers. More drinks were available to purchase. We were ushered downstairs and sat at a table for just the two of us. The buffet was often and the food was delicious and plentiful. Chicken, steak, prawns, rice, salads, potatoes, then dessert of icecream. The show then began which was fun, with lots of dancing and singing. We returned to Port Denaru and then were transported back to our hotel. Great night!

Very efficient and friendly crew. Loved the entertainment and food. Would recommend this to anyone who would like to see a beautiful sunset and more!

Unfortunately not a great experience. The weather was overcast and wet, no Sunset! Not enough seating for everyone where the show was held and the hot food was cold.
Really feel the event should have been canceled.
Our driver was fabulous dropping everyone back to their respective locations in heavy rain.

Besides forgetting to pick us up and we had to cab down to the cruise, it was a great evening, would definitely recommend.

We had hopes of a beautiful dinner and cruise experience on our last night in Tahiti. Didn’t happen.
The initial welcome aboard with music and a drink was a great start but that unfortunately was the best part. We were all crammed in chairs in the bow for crew introductions. The crew overall was welcoming. After that however, things went downhill. A list was circulated by a crew member confirming our names at which time we noted that we had paid extra for the lobster dinner. We were assured we would get it.
We were all encouraged to wander the boat while dinner was being prepared including going up to the bridge area. The view was pretty but the Captain was definitely not interested in being interactive with visitors. Its not that he was particularly busy as he had one of his officers piloting the boat. That staff member was friendly. The weather unfortunately didn’t cooperate for a great sunset but all the same there were some good ocean view picture opportunities.
There was no assigned seating for the buffet dinner. When the waitress came by to take our drink orders I advised her too we had the lobster dinner upgrade. Shortly thereafter we were told to go downstairs to line up for the buffet. After getting our plates and going back upstairs we started eating our food assuming the lobster would arrive shortly. Nope. I again reminded a waitress that we still didn’t have our lobster. 30 minutes had now passed from when we got our dinner. Later as the waitress came by to collect our dinner plates I told her she could just refund the lobster dinners as we had finished eating. She insisted the Cook was just finishing preparing them. Shortly thereafter two rather large overcooked, dry tasting lobsters arrived at the table. While the buffet meal was average to above average in quality and taste, our lobsters did not come close to
    meeting expectations.
For the closing entertainment everyone was once again assembled back on the bow. This time we were crammed together more so there was room for the entertainment. The crew put a lot of what appeared to be sincere effort into the entertainment however it appeared to underwhelm the majority of the audience.
This was not the romantic sunset cruise we expected. Overall the buffet was good and the crew was friendly but there was definitely a lack of organization and polish you would expect for the price.

My husband and I attend the dinner cruise on a Sunday evening. It was a beautiful night on the water. I’ve gotta give it up tp the staff for busting their butts and still singing and dancing for us.
I dropped this down one star. As the dinner options need to be updated. No steak or lobster was served. A very good buffet was set up for the evening consisting of lovo chicken, pumpkin rice, multiple salads, curry beef and Mongolian lamb. So my husband and I were still happy.

Lovely hosts and great pre-dinner nibbles. Would be great if you offered alcohol free beer. The lobster dinners looked delicious – and generous amounts of everything else including a good range for vegetarians.

  15. RD_T

Staff, food, entertainment and cruise all fantastic. Highly recommend and will book again.
Had 85 year old mother with us and staff were so helpful and thoughtful, she had a great time.

  16. Greg_A

Breathtaking sunset, hospitable and entertaining crew and the food were all INCREDIBLE. The lobster is a must!

  17. Leosita_R

The staff were great especially the ones who did the performances (singing and a cultural show). No particular table arrangement made for the guests. There was only one queue for the buffet.

  18. Robin_K

    Entrainment was okay
    Food didn’t have any flavors
Ships wash room needed up dating badly.
While eating dinner wife saw rat running across the floor.
    Not what we expected.
We have cruised with other cruise companies Captain Cook is a flop
Not worth while over charge for what was delivered

The visits to the local village and the tropical forest were memorable! It was a very informative experience, and the guide, Ravi, was great!

  20. renee_s

Very good and dinner was great. Loved the singing and dancing on board. Made it a fabulous experience for my partner and I. Will deffinately do this in the future.

  21. Alison_P

The staff are lovely. The food was very average and you have to buy all the alcohol which makes for an expensive trip.
