The captain board is exceptional. we were taken care of. the guides took the time to slowly explain to us when we didn’t understand. Our Spanish being more than average. the crew like all the people we met in Patagonia are so nice and helpful that we would have liked to stay there longer. in any case if you have the possibility of doing this excursion including the captain board do it. my 16 year old son and my husband still can’t believe it.

The tour is well organised, the explanations during navigation are quite interesting. I will say that it is more for family and old people that want to look at glaciers and to have lunch at the explainazzini refuge with a spectacular view. The trekking path at the explaining refuge is closed from some times but it’s still included in the tour (should be removed). We looked at ushuala glaciers from the distance (very very far away) because it’s not possible to navigate towards it.

Best cruise I have done in the area. My advice is to book this in the VIP area (called the Captain’s Club) – the added cost is not that much and is totally worth it. You get pampered during the entire trip in a restricted area of the boat with access to a private deck – let alone, during the stopover, an EXQUISITE lunch in a private area of the lodge overlooking the Serrano glacier.
