The city tour was excellent! Godfrey was knowledgeable about everything from history to daily life in Dar es Salaam. It was just me on the tour and I appreciated his flexibility and ability to tailor the tour to my interests. I especially appreciated his insights at the Village Museum where he was able to describe the unique cultures of every tribe featured. This tour took place in September 2020 and I appreciated attention to COVID-19 pre-cautions. I would recommend this tour to anyone with a short amount of time in Dar es Salaam or a desire to visit specific places with a knowledgeable guide.

My family and I scheduled this excursion at the last minute. I am so glad we did. My driver Haroon and host Anastacia were wonderful. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. My group included 2 children, a 1 year old and a 6 year old. They assisted us by also helping with the children as if they were there own! This made such a difference and we were totally won over. Haroon and Anastacia your attention to detail makes both of you the best at customer service 5 stars!

Michael is an excellent guide. He was on time for our pick up and made sure we were comfortable. He’s also very accommodating to ensure we had a great day exploring Dar Es Salaam. If there’s is a point of interest on your list that isn’t included he will factor that in within reason. He’s very knowledgeable of Tanzania’s history. He helped make our day great! Lunch at the Waterfront was delicious. You will not be disappointed.

First of all, yes, Dar Es Salaam is worth visiting, and is not just a place to go right after to Zanzibar or to the Serengeti NP. It has this wonderful tour given by Anna, who will bring you across several historical monuments in DES and will show you around the National Museum and the Village Museum! She will even buy you a bottle of water and be mindful about the fun you will have in this underrated city in Africa.
