Great guide. Informative, kind, and safe driver. Also kept us on time but without ever making us rush.

Mac made the day the best ever!! He was awesome and now I don’t think a guide can beat him. He
Was so knowledgeable. Because of all his experience he changed the lunch to a much better stop! The Cliffs are better then the pictures! He stopped at many spots

Our tour began with meeting the tour guide Phil and driver Gabriel in dowtown Galway at one of the hotels. This was a short 8 min drive from the place we were staying. Galway is not that big so if you are in the downtown core you would a short walk away from the pickup location.
The tour is exactly as described in the info, with lots of time to take photos at all locations. At Ailwee Cave you can do a tour of the cave (45 min) or simply wander the grounds.
At Cliffs of Moher, you have ample time to visit and take in the site. There are two walks you can do, one to the left and one to the right of the visitor’s area. We had enough time to explore both locations.
After the Cliffs, we had a nice stop at a pub for some food and a pint of Guinness. After the pub we did another shot stop in Dooling at another viewing site, which allowed us to get right up to the ocean, a great spot for some more pictures.
We started the tour at 9-9:30 AM and we were back in Galway by 5:30 PM. Our tour guide Phill was great providing some great insights on the last scape and Irish history in the area. Great traditional Irish music played during the trip on the bus.

Would be great to visit again.

This was a great tour. We all loved our tour guide and had such a fun day! We would’ve loved just a little more time along the wild Atlantic way because it was so beautiful.

Excellent tour! Would definitely recommend, so much fun, got to see so much of the coast and farm land. Went off the beaten path which was awesome!

Despite the season, this tour was perfect! It was sunny and not windy and the Cliffs of Moher. Our guide, John B was charming and funny – highly recommend a tour with him! He was very informative too. Because we had a small group, he made a couple of extra stops for us, which the big busses couldn’t do, so that was a bonus of off-season travel.

Ride through the countryside, history and driver. Great sites and back story. The driver made sure everyone was safe and had a good time.

This tour was very enjoyable. Our tour guide was so friendly and gave us so many stories about the various locations we visited. Apologies I forgot his name except that his surname started with B. Unfortunately the Aillwee cave was closed due to it being winter when I took this tour. However, the cliff of moher definitely made up for it. A warning though it is very windy. I could feel my feet being moved by the wind so definitely make sure you stay safe up there. All in all it was a great tour.

We enjoyed every second of this trip, from the moment John picked us up to the moment he dropped us off. John, our guide, made us feel welcome and at ease, going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The views from the Cliffs of Moher are breathtaking and should be on everyone’s bucket list. We were taken to an authentic Irish pub in Doolin that has arguably the best seafood chowder.
The cave was unfortunately closed, but John told us it’s story – much like many of the landmarks on the trip which made the tour more exciting.
It is a definite recommend, and if you are lucky enough, maybe you’ll get John as your guide.

This is a great tour with several stops at interesting places. The cliffs of Moher were the highlight of the tour. Words and pictures don’t do them justice-they are just so beautiful. The burrens are geological mystery – and interesting to see and experience. Had a wonderful lunch at Hotel Doolin pub. Ailee cave was something I hadn’t heard of but glad it was part of the tour. The cave guide was very knowledgeable about the cave. JohnB was our driver and guide for the tour. He was excellent- knowledgeable about Ireland, pointed out landmarks along the way, welcomed questions, was friendly and super nice. Highly recommend this tour- you get a lot for your money!

Thanks to John, our group had a wonderful experience touring the Cliffs, Dungaire Castle, Doolin, and exploring the beautiful countryside. The weather was not perfect, but there were still dramatic views and experiences. I highly recommend Lally Tours for your excursion. The coach is a nice size for the narrow, hairpin turns to get to the cliffs, and driver expertise is important!!

The actual sites were amazing. Bus broke down on the way back to Galway so driver flagged down public bus which was overcrowded. The tour guide was knowledgeable but needs to keep the tour to the sites, not politics, etc. also, used the F word a lot.

John B was great!! Great driver and very knowledgeable! Would definitely recommend. He was efficient and considerate of everyone

John B was a fantastic driver and truly knowledgeable (and a great supporter) about Irish history, culture, and geography. It was a long day, but being broken into discrete sites made it go fast. Lunch at Fitz was delicious (get the seafood chowder)!

Thank you John B. for this amazing trip to The Burren and of course to the Cliff of Moher ! Your knowledge of the places and your own anecdotes were really interesting and funny 🙂 + The sun was with us! Can’t be better !

If you’re thinking about booking this trip, I say do it! It was well worth it! At some points it did feel a little bit rushed but we still had time yo take pictures and things of that nature. If I were to change one thing about the trip it would be to maybe omit the castle part of it, only because it was closed and we weren’t able to go inside. Even with the time allotted I don’t think we would’ve been able to anyway so I think more time at the alliwae (pretty sure that isn’t spelled correctly)caves would have been better to explore the outside of that particular area a little bit more. With that being said I still give the whole experience a 10/10 and our your guide was the best!!! He really made the driving party extremely enjoyable!

John B., our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed every bit of the tour, we can’t really pick a favorite 😊.

Lally’s tours were fantastic! Our driver John B. was an excellent tour guide and took us all over the west of Ireland. We got to see so much more than we expected, and I would recommend this tour to anyone in Ireland.
