Great tour that gives you the history of prohibition and my interesting personal stories from our guide Don.
You get visit 4 different bars and try 4 different cocktails while Don is explaining all the history and stories.
I think it was fun and something different then the usual tours.
The only thing I would suggest…is to be in a quieter spot in these bars…very hard to hear what Don was saying with the music and people chatter.
The cocktails served were good…I would suggest a rum drink instead of 2 gin drinks.

The speakeasy your in Charleston is good on content, but not great on the locations. The your highlights much of the overall concepts of prohibition (our guide was quite knowledgeable), but did not directly connect us to histories of the taverns and ‘speakeasies’ of Charleston. The Blind Tiger was the only one with a historical speakeasy reference, whereas the other 2 we visited were more older taverns with character.
We enjoyed the pleasantry of the tour guide and the company of our other tour guests. If you are looking for ‘under current’ knowledge of Charleston this might not be the right tour at this time. Hopefully it will become more relatable with histories of the taverns themselves.

While there was not much pub history save for the Blind Tiger or cocktails specific to the region or city, the history was interesting. Our guide Jamie was excellent and full of knowledge about the city’s Prohibition Era. Jamie had some great stories of the interesting figures who played key and oftentimes controversial roles in this segment of history.
