Wonderful half day tour. Historic Richmond had lots to offer and the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary was definitely worth a visit. Driver was very knowledgeable and a great host.

  2. Mainuddin_B

That was a nice tour at Richmond village and Wild life sanctuary. Really a must do thing if you have time.

  3. Amber_B

Fun way to spend the afternoon, loved learning about Tassie’s Wildlife, the staff at Bonarong do really important work! Richmond was pretty, lots of history. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

  4. Keith_W

My visit to Bonorong Wildlife Park was a definite highlight of my trip to Tassie. Feeding the kangaroos was a wonderful experience! They are very gentle and calming. It was also cool to see and learn about the Tasmanian Devils and echnidnas at the sanctuary. And don’t miss the wonderful gingerbread cookie shop in Richmond – delicious cookies! Tour was well organized with a smooth pick-up/drop-off.

The tour was great! Bus driver was very informative and friendly with a good sense of humor. Richmond was a cute town… glad we could explore there a little. Bonorong was an amazing experience. All in all a perfect day.

  7. Millie_C

Our bus driver/tour guide was lighthearted and approachable which I appreciated as a solo traveler. The tour itself was great, I will be telling everyone about Bonorong wildlife park

  8. Donna_H

I went on this tour with my 9 year old daughter and we had such a great time. We thought the jail at Richmond would be boring but we were wrong. It was filled with such misery and we walked out a little spooked as the energy in one of the rooms (with the sleeping bag) was not right.
The Wildlife Sanctuary was fun and you could tell the staff love the animals very much. Highlight was the kangaroos. They were so friendly and tame that you could pat and feed them.
Our tour operator was so lovely and informative, I wish I recalled his name so I could thank him. He made the experience very enjoyable and next time I am in Hobart I hope we can have another tour with him.

Absolutely unforgettable experience. Our coach driver was excellent, Richmond was a nice little town, and Bonorong was surreal. The ‘roos were so cool.

  10. WILLIAM_H

I really enjoyed taking in Richmond Jail. Easy access as right next to the coach park. Life was raw then. Loved also being interactive with the Kangaroos and the Devils are to die for. Other animals too in this care centre.

  11. Steven_W

Passionate staff at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary who love sharing their knowledge of animals in care. Friendly tour staff who provided local information & made the experience lots of fun.

My grandson wanted to see the Tassie Devils so he was really excited about seeing them Richmond is a great town to stroll around and see the historical points of interest.

  13. Joan_P

It was fun putting the kangaroos and seeing the Jasmine in devils.
It was nice to know the people care about animals

  14. Mitch_M

We really enjoyed the Bonorong Wildlife Park. It was great to see the animals. The reason that this tour is not a 5* is because I was expecting Kuala Bears based on the photo. The park does not currently have any Kuala’s.
The afternoon tour of Richmond is basically a shopping stop. I would have had more time to spend at the wildlife park.

  15. Helen_A

Best afternoon. Richmond was wondering and our driver told us all the places of interest so we knew where to go. Bonorong was beautiful. Worth a visit. Bus was so comfortable and our driver was very entertaining.

  16. Wendy_L

It’s great trip to visit Bonorong but Richmond is a bit disappointed as not very much too see except the Bridge

  17. Gerald_R

Interacting with the kangaroos was an unexpected treat. Learning about wombats and “Devils” expanded understanding of how these animals live in their respective habitats.

  18. JulieMarie_D

Great day out combining the wildlife park and Richmond which is a lovely town, scenery is glorious , animals at the wildlife park are cute and the guides very informative , would recommend this trip

This tour was fantastic! A short tour that really showcases the wildlife that Tasmania has to offer. The Bonorong Wildlife park was a huge hit, and it was great to see the Devils and feed Kangaroos. Richmond was a quaint town and a good break just to walk around and learn more about Tasmanian history.

The visit to the Animal Sanctuary was too short and to Richmond too long. In Richmond there is nothing to do besides the jail and the bridge and in the Sanctuary we needed more time
