I would not recommend this trip. I felt rushed around the monkey forest, which would have been my favourite bit. The art centres was a 5 min talk on how to make silver and then I was taken to a very expensive shop and followed around being encouraged to buy.
We visited a temple. It was clear my driver was very religious and unlike the other visitors, I couldn’t do the same as them. To stand in front of an altar, I had to put my hand to pray for respect, to get a photo. I didn’t even want one!
Driver wanted a photo with me at beginning and then through the trip, asked me 4 times to write a 5* review.
The waterfall is the busiest one in Ubud and it’s hardly nature… lots of stalls and cafes and a huge bar/pool built near the falls. I was allowed 40 minutes but came back after 20 as boring and very hot. Driver didn’t pick up my message so stood in heat 20 minutes for him. He said he hadn’t seen message and sorry, saw an old friend.
I asked to go home after this. I skipped the rice fields. I’d had enough of a trip geared up to make you spend money and a passive domineering driver, telling me how to pose.
You can do this trip easily without paying so much.
Others looked like they were having fun. All my other trips had great guides etc.
Go to monkey forest solo. More fun and not rushed.9
    Big Shame- trip utter rubbish

A panhandlers tour. The best thing was the waterfall and the temple visit. Didn’t feel like our guide was interested In helping us learn the culture and experience as its described online. The jewelry making and painting house were drop offs for us to go through in the hopes of us buying stuff. Someome greeted us and we were passed off to them. Met back up with the guide when we were done.A lot of “hi, do you like? Want to buy ? ” Once the tour guide mentioned the ubud center for an hour to shop I was over it. We skipped that all together.
I didn’t come to a new country to shop, buy paintings i can’t check on a plane , and surely not to go to the mall. I can do that back home.
Also didn’t like that when my sister was feeling heat exhausted at the waterfall there was no concern or care for her at all. We ended the tour early to care for her health back at our villa. They could have at least gotten her a bottle of water and asked if she was OK but didn’t. BUT when they saw money in her purse wanted to ask if we needed a driver for the rest of the days we were here. Even after telling them she didn’t feel good they wanted to continue the tour to a monkey forest that was 30 minutes away from where we were. Again no care or concern at all. I was irritated so I had them drop us off because I just didn’t feel safe anymore.
Never saw Monkeys or went to the bali swing. Wish they would have just took us to the waterfall and called it a day.
    Don’t book this.

This was the second time I have done this tour as I came with a first time Bali visitor. The added waterfall stop was an amazing addition. Felt like 3 days of activities in one.
Our guide Sudi, was full of wisdom and made the day. He knew all the best stops and is a master with a phone camera.
Having him take us made the trip.
I would, and have, recommend both the tour and Sudi

The guide, Tegeg, was helpful friendly and knowledgeable to plan a flexible itinerary for our group. Skipped the woodcraft and gold/silver stops to have more time at other activities

My guide was Darma! He was amazing! As a solo traveler he made me feel so comfortable. There is definitely a lot to see in one day but he never made me feel rushed and always gave me tips when trying to buy something. He has so much knowledge and could answer all my questions.Wicked amazing experiences! Thanks for making it an awesome day Darma!

  7. Michael_S

A must do to see the sights and sounds of beautiful Ubud. Kris was incredible and very knowledgeable about culture and Bali history

We booked this all day tour and was picked up by Dasdra who was absolutely incredible. He was so educational about the Balinese way of life and culture bringing us to public temples and family temples explaining the symbolism of all the shrines at each place.
He then took us to the art villages to an authentic silver factory which was incredible watching everyone create some of the purest silver jewelry in the world.
We then went to the waterfall which was breathtaking. After the fall he dropped us off to have a wonderful lunch on a rice field where we had the most amazing crispy duck.
Once lunch was finished we visited the monkey Forrest where he explained how the monkeys coexisted there with the Balinese people and we even were able to get some selfies with a monkey on our lap. Finally we went to the rice terrace so go on the random swing over the terrace which was so much fun.
Desdra wasn’t only informative but was also so enjoyable to spend the day with. He was so happy singing song and making jokes with us all day but always made sure we knew the symbolism of each location and who important it was to the people of Bali. This was the best tour we took for our whole honeymoon and we highly recommend this amazing experience.

Great private tour. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and we enjoyed learning as much as we could about Bali, the people, and the sights we visited. Appreciated his flexibility to switch out the free time at the Ubud Center for the water temple, which we really wanted to visit. We expected that he would just drop us off there, but he accompanied us and provided a guided tour! He went above and beyond expectations!

Sudi our guide was excellent. Very patient with our group with children and we customised the itenery to make it more relaxing so we don’t have to rush at any place we enjoyed. Top tour with Sudi who was also our photographer and helped avoided a lot of the queues for our group.

Our family enjoyed our Ubud tour with Raka. He was very flexible and willing to bring us to a jungle swing even though it was not part of the itinerary. The place he recommended for lunch was also quite nice and the photos he took for us at the various tourist attractions were very nice and artistic. We never felt rushed during the tour. Special thanks to Raka for making our tour memorable.

Amazing tour of the must visit Ubud region in Bali. The best part was the guide named “Raka” whose hospitality was top notch. Bali has a lot of cultural significance and Raka explained everything in a very detailed manner. He’s covered all the must visit places in Ubud along with amazing restaurant with great view for lunch. He was very accommodating and gave all the time needed so you can go at your own pace.
I totally recommend the tour and it possible request for Raka as your guide and believe me you won’t regret 😀

Darma, thank you so much for such an incredible day. Your hosting was impeccable and we had so much fun, learned a lot and got to see some of the most beautiful and interesting places in Bali. It wouldn’t have been the same without you! Cannot recommend you highly enough to anyone who is looking to make a trip to the island.

our tour guide Raka was amazing! Great energy the whole day as well as incredibly knowledgable and proud of the area. He went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after.
Lots of sights seen in the tour for a great price, couldn’t have asked for a better way to see Ubud in a day.

    Ubud is absolutely stunning!
If you come to Bali, you must see Ubud!
This particular tour packed in a lot of wonderful experiences into a single day with an excellent guide, Tegeg.
Art markets, coffee plantation (really cool experience!!!), Monkey Forest (of course, magical!), rice paddies, waterfalls and a majestic temple. We had sufficient time to enjoy each location and did not feel rushed at all. Tegeg let us take our time and we even had time to enjoy a wonderful, authentic Indonesian lunch at a restaurant with incredible views- near the rice paddies.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see it all, at your own pace with a lovely guide- Tegeg!
