This was my second time doing this and my husband’s first time. He was scared going into it but as soon as we went down the first small drop he was in love. Our guide, Curtis, was really cool! He just moved from New Zealand having worked as a white water rafting guide for several years so he was new to the Barron only being there a couple of months. But he seemed like he had been at the Barron for years, we were very impressed. We can’t wait to do this again!

We were able to take breaks and go swimming in between the rapids. Much needed on a hot day.

Don’t EVEN BOTHER. They won’t really tell you the return times until you have gotten too close to cancel. Communication is poor. They have so few residents in Port Douglas. But they don’t seem to think that coordinating some tour times with the cruise ships that visit only a few times a season. So we wasted our $& and they refuse to refund us. They blamed Viator. So it’s someone else’s fault. This Travel Agent (31 years and counting) WON’T recommend them or Viator again !

We were a family of 3 – Mum, Dad and 17yo daughter. Liv was our fabulous guide and taught us everything we needed to know. The rapids were great fun and we were able to purchase some awesome photos. The tour was smooth sailing from pick-up to drop-off and all staff were excellent. Great fun.
