We have booked a tour to Abu Dhabi Mosque and to Ferrari world on 26th of December. We received the confirmation e-mail along with the e-ticket and we also send a reply message for the confirmation of the name of our hotel for the pick up. We also send later the same day another e-mail asking the exact hour of the pick up to which we never got a reply. Nevertheless the day of the tour we waited at the lobby of our hotel for over an hour and no one came to pick us for the tour. We tried several times to phone but the lines were always busy.So we went to the offices of Grayline travel agency where we got informed that due to a misunderstanding our booking was not listed!So after our complaints they transferred us to Abu Dhabi and provided us with the tickets to Ferrari world. We went to scan our tickets when the guy in charge informed us that we could not get in because the booking number was not correct! Fortunately, he communicated with the agency and we got in. At the end of our tour they picked us and dropped us to a metro station because the tour did not included a hotel drop off even though that was mentioned in the detailed description of our booking!

Nous n’avons pas pu partir de l’endroit de départ, car nous n’étions pas en possession d’un Certificat PCR. Ce n’est donc pas tant une critique de l’organisation, que de la ville, mais l’on nous a laissé quand même, sans trop d’explications sur le bord de la route, voyant malgré nous le départ du bus. C’est en effet indiqué , mais c’est trop tard quand on s’en aperçoit, surtout que la grande différence est que le pass vaccinal suffit pour toutes les activités de Dubai, mais n’est pas suffisant pour les autres villes, une terrible et couteuse expérience.

Informed 12:30 am for the tour that we needed a pcr test for part or the tour the next morning. They would not switch our tour because of the time. Tour company tried to get us to take $300 pcr tests per person!!! Finally got a new tour just for the driver to never show the following morning or respond to messages. Viator refusing a credit for a tour never taken and hours wasted on our vacation! Very inconsiderate for someone who has used them multiple times before.

Passeio foi maravilhoso. Porém faltou um pouco mais de atenção por parte do guia. Mudamos a data porque não tínhamos PCR, porém o guia não era em português com contratamos, o guia falava só em inglês, porém também sabia falar em espanhol mas nem se esforçou para falar em espanhol. Não foi oferecido 1 água para nós em nenhum percurso, nem de ida e nem de volta. Nos pegaram no hotel, porém na volta nos deixaram no Shopping Dubai Mall. Enfim, faltou um pouco mais de empatia.

Het is dat de moskee en Ferrari world de moeite waar waren, maar de organisatie laat te wensen over. De ochtend pick up ging goed, maar door veel getreuzel van mensen hadden we maar 40 minuten in de moskee. Wij doorgelopen want om 12:15 zou de bus weer verder gaan. Eindstand: de bus bleef op iedereen wachten en vertrok pas om 13:20 ondanks dat de guide had gezegd dat we zouden gaan omdat andere (zoals wij) nog naar een andere plek door moesten. Hierdoor kwamen we om 13:50 pas aan bij Ferrari world en kregen we de tijd door dat de bus om 17:30 zou vertrekken. Om 17:30 zaten we buiten, geen bus, 17:45 geen bus, 18:00 geen bus. Ik ben zelf maar met het bedrijf contact gaan opnemen en in plaats van dat zij mij hielpen moest ik zelf maar contact op nemen met het nummer dat ze doorstuurde. Hier kreeg ik te horen dat ze bus zonder overleg had besloten om pas 18:30 te gaan. Waardoor wij dus kostbare tijd zijn verloren in Ferrari world. Als kers op de taart kregen wij 5 minuten voordat we naar de transfer busjes zouden gaan te horen dat we niet meer bij het hotel wel afgezet maar bij de Dubai Mall. Niemand uit de bus was hiervan op de hoogte en vind ook niet dat het kan maken. Je betaalt flink voor zo’n tour en nu konden wij nog eens extra geld uit geven om thuis te komen omdat de mal zeker 30 minuten van ons vandaan lag. Kortom, leuke plekken om te bezoeken maar niet op deze manier.

The venues included in the tour – the mosque and FerrariWorld were fine. The mosque was beautiful and very interesting, especially for a non-Muslim like myself. FerrariWorld was also worthwhile. My only complaints about the park would be the almost total lack of signage, making it very disorienting. Being indoors compounded the problem. Also, the place was pretty much empty. There were no lines for any ride except the Formula Rosso. And I do mean NO lines. You could walk straight on. So why the complaint? The guest services desk right inside the park was more than willing to lighten my wallet by AED150 for a fast pass that was totally unnecessary. I found that dishonest and disappointing. Buyer beware, I guess.
So, with all that said, moving on to the main main reasons I am giving this tour only three stars:
1) Despite all of the forewarnings on the website that a COVID test was required, and boarding would be denied to anyone not holding a negative result, that was absolutely not the case. At no point did anyone from Gray Line, the mosque or FerrariWorld ask for the test result or even inquire as to whether or not we had been tested. This really annoyed me. I took the time, effort and expense to get a test before leaving the US, solely for the purposes of taking this excursion, and it was an absolute waste of calories.
2) We spent too long at the mosque – you can easily see the entire place in 45 mins. We spent about twice that there, which theoretically reduced the time we could have had at FerrariWorld. The online description stated 5.5 hours would be available for us to enjoy the theme park, but when we were dropped off there, we were told 3.5 hours, no more. Not cool. But it got worse.
3) Our guide, Rifky, told us that he would text us via WhatsApp between 3 and 3:30 to advise us when to be outside the theme park to rejoin the bus. He didn’t do that. So, not wanting to miss the bus and incur a $150 taxi ride back to Dubai, I left the park and headed outside at 3:30. No sign of the bus. Rifky wasn’t answering calls or texts. After reaching out to Gray Line directly at 4pm, they finally prompted him to reply to us, and he said he’d be outside the venue at 4:20. We could have staying the in park almost an entire hour longer. But it got worse again! He didn’t show up in the bus until almost 5pm!! So now, not only had we lost almost an hour and a half of time that we could have spent enjoying the rides in the park, we all sat outside in the searing UAE heat for over 40 minutes waiting for the bus. No communication of any delay – nothing!!! Just unacceptable.
In hindsight, I wish I’d paid for the private tour, but I’ll know better next time. I would not recommend this tour to other travelers.

The entire visit was beautiful and educational. The guide was polite and informative. The Mosque part just seemed so rushed. We only had about an hour and fifteen min in the Mosque then at Ferrari world we only time for about 2 rides. Over all I was thankful we got to have this adventure with my family, when we return it will definitely include one full day for the mosque.
