Let me start by saying it was a great way to see the city in relative convenience and safety (our biggest concern about coming to Rio.) We truly felt we got to see all the sites and get a good taste of the city. The included lunch was good and it was nice having someone at the attractions be able to provide additional insight instead of just being there on our own. Unfortunately however, we were standing in line most of the day, that is, if you didn’t get left behind at the last stop.
Everywhere we went we waited in gigantic lines. I guess for some reason I thought that the tour company had arranged tickets to the attractions beforehand, but I guess not. We’d get to the destination in the janky bus (the bus was full with every seat taken and the back row was broken making for an awful, uncomfortable, and awkward experience for people sitting in the back two rows) and have to wait for the guide to stand in line to buy tickets. Then we waited as a group in line with the rest of the general public. Usually these types of tours have tickets to all the places arranged prior (and are able to skip the line) to save time, but that’s not the case here. Also, while our guide was very friendly, he wasn’t the best at English so take the fact that it was an English tour with a grain of salt.
The other thing I can’t get over was how bad the guy was at keeping track of the group. Now I totally understand and get that it can be difficult to do this, and people naturally want to wander off, but we were leaving people behind left and right. Meet up at times at each spot were not clearly defined and the guide was bad at doing frequent counts. At Sugarloaf, we were shocked to see our entire group in line for the cable car down on the way to check out a different viewpoint, but nobody had told us when to meet backup or established a departure time.
The other thing that sucked was while they advertise that they pickup at hotel, they wouldn’t pick us up at ours in Leblon even though it was close. So we had to pay on our own to Uber to one of the “acceptable” hotels for pickup. Then, we drove around for an entire hour picking other people up. Really bad experience and same on the way back. Of course we were the last to be dropped off too. Because of this, the tour was about 11 hours instead of the 8-9 we thought it would be.

Looking for a tour to visit the just-have sightseeing places in Rio? This is the one for you! Flabio is an excellent tour guide, he explained about each stop in three languages and never left anyone behind! We all felt included! The lunch was a buffet with an amazing bbq included! Do yourself a favor, skip all the meat, and go straight to the back for the best meat bbq ever! Super recommended!

Good tour to see the tourist highlights, but not much commentary between the places visited. English spoken was understandable but not enough to really go into detail. Had to wait up to half an hour for people to return to the meeting point. Which then held up the rest of the day. Not good enough really – should have been looked for and then left behind if they couldn’t be found. Not even an apology from the late people or the tour guide. Tickets for the various places not pre purchased so you stand in line and wait for each thing.

Flavio was amazing! Amazing tour guide who will make the trip not only informative but also funny and entertaining!
And for the trip, I strongly recommend getting this trip. You don’t wait in long queues, you are taken to all the touristic places by van, you get too see everything in one day. Views from Sugarloaf are amazing!

It rained (hard) which is no fault of our guide. Carlos was very knowledgeable and friendly. The ticket to Christ the Redeemer was included as well as a buffet lunch, which I wasn’t expecting. Our view at Sugarloaf was overcast but visible since the altitude is lower. We are going to go back later this week to see the statue; otherwise, we had a great time.

Overall we were ok with the 1-day trip. We got some insights about Rio in the tour, but learned a lot more on my next trip-Tijuca jeep ride. The guide could have been more interactive and giving more details about Brazil & its history.
The lunch stop was good, lots of choices and the attraction points were also great.

The tour was everything! We enjoyed all the stops. Our tour guide Aldo was great! He was fluent in English, but also spoke multiple languages. Lunch was nice, but bring yourself some snacks because it is a FULL day tour.

I was set to be picked up @8AM, the driver came at 8:45am plus we drove around the city picking up the other guest for about 45mins. The tour it’s mostly to provide transportation there was little to zero guide from personnel. Guide turist made about 2-3 comments of the monuments. Food was ok. Not delicious. We all were starving by the time they took of to the buffet.

We had such an amazing time with Nathalia. She was very knowledgeable and engaging. She did the whole tour in Portuguese and English for us. The views were incredible. I’m so glad we did this on our first day. The lunch buffet… Wow!! It was all such a great value! I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad we did this.
