  2. Sharen_F

The tour guide on Sarah Island, he was Irish and he was awesome.
The seating on the top deck and the service and food was amazing.

  3. Michael_D

Everything on this excurtion was well done. The standard of the modern vessel, with comfortable assigned seating, access to Review now decks, clean toilets and an on-board coffe shop was top notch. The mix of live commentry and on screen video history was well done. The guided land tours were also well presented. The buffet lunch was of a high standard. All of this supported the natural beauty of seascapes and landscapes visited. Definitely worth of 5 stars.

  4. Margaret_A

The tranquility of travelling on the beautiful world heritage Gordon River and the visit to Sarah Island with a fabulous narration by the guide about the history of the convict settlement.

Excellent day on the water, Hells Gates,Gordon river and rain forest walk were great, The Sarah Island tour was very good. Lunch on board was well organized, good selection and plentiful. The ship staff did a brilliant job, they worked non stop.
Again, we would recommend this tour.

Everyone and everything was great 😀. We had a good day…………………what more can I say. No really, I have no more say, I’m a person of few words.

  7. Chris_L

The location experience and excellent buffet lunch with the best local salmon I have eaten. The quality catamaran excellent service and well organised tours was a bonus

  8. Shane_R

The whole experience was great, the intelligent layout of the ship, the lunch supplied, the two off ship excursions , the guides the whole deal, if your doing Stanley you must do the Gordon River Cruise, loved it.

  9. Noel_T

The whole experience of the harbour and the river is incredible. On top of this incredible viewing experience, the lunch was also excellent. Just the harbour entrance alone is worth seeing from on the water, compared to seeing it on land. Sarah island adds to the historical interest. I don’t think there is a comparable seven hour experience anywhere!
Recommend it? If this was the only thing you did in Tasmania, it would still be worthwhile.

Everything about this cruiser was excellent, in fact world class: the boat and its spotless facilities, the whisper quiet electric mode on the river, the rainforest boardwalk, the guided tour on Sarah Island, and the lunch. The cafe facilities on board were also top notch.
The cruise staff were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient from start to finish
We also loved the historical reenactment commentary on the screens throughout the cruise.
We would highly recommend this as our favourite experience in Tasmania.

The history and beauty of the area is pleasing that it was kept pristine. Crew and Maggies guide was extremely professional.

  12. Bob_A

History and importance of area. Morning tea should be included in the price. More time on Sarah Island

  13. Joan_K

    The island walks. Excellent
Was very disappointed that water was not readily available. Also there was no complimentary tea and coffee with lunch given the cost was not insubstantial

  14. Paul_W

    Generous buffet. Friendly staff.
Need to take cash as internet not always available for drink purchases.

  15. Kerry_I

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip especially seeing Sarah island and rainforest walk and the staff on board were excellent

  16. Robyn_C

Excellent professionally run cruise. We had a fantastic day. Impressive boat and crew. Good food and nature tour was informative. Impressed by guides on Sarah Island.

  17. Elisabeth_S

Tour of Sarah’s Island with really fun guide. Plus comfort of boat, so quiet down river, allowed reflective thoughts and encouraged tranquil behaviour.

  18. Antti_K

Fantastic tour. Most spectacular so far I have experienced during my first week in Australia. If something negative to say, endless announcements and video stories were more annoying than entertaining/informative. But that’s my subjective view…

  19. Joanna_C

Lovely boat, lovely staff, lovely food and fantastic destinations and scenery. Great commentary and recommend you take the guided tour on Sarah Island. Fabulous care taken of the environment visited. Thoroughly recommend this tour. Well worth the effort to get to it.

Fantastic day. The boat is new, seats comfortable ,facilities clean and a view from every seat. The staff have great knowledge of the area and ensure that it is left untouched after tourists. Sarah Island has a fascinating history.

The beauty, the quiet running of the ferry. Staff who couldn’t do enough for us. The totally amazing guided tours, sarah island, just WOW! The guide we had was brilliant. The historical information provided on the cruise was so very interesting. The ferry was clean, food was fantastic, catering to my allergies so well done. In 2 weeks of traveling beautiful Tasmania the ferry toilets were the cleanest we came across, even surface spray was provided as an extra precaution. We had not pre planned this wonderful jaunt so finding an available seat was a bonus, when the booking clerk saw i was using a stick due to a recent injury she ensured our seating was the best possible option for us. Overall a wonderful experience, thankyou
