Great trip, I recommend it very much. We spend 5 very attarctive days on the Nile. Visited Luxor & Karnak Temples as well sites on the way – Edfu & Komombo with a final in Aswan. Great conditions, very nice food and good service. We reserved the tour via Egipt Unlimited Tours – and Mohamad was highly professional and extremly helpuf. Our guide Ahmed was also a great asset – huge knowledge & presentation skills. Once again highly recommend. 🙂

Mohammed was such an incredible tour guide! As three young(er) women, he sometimes treated us like we didn’t know what we were doing (sometimes he was right and sometimes he was wrong), but quickly acclimated to us as tourists—knowing when to give us guidance and when to let us do what we wanted. He made sure that we were safe and had everything we needed. When we got super sick early into the trip, he immediately made sure that we had anything we needed by taking us to a pharmacy as soon as we were docked. He was willing to add things we wanted into our schedule (organized through the tour service and obviously it was extra $). The HIGHLIGHT of the trip was touring the Nubian village and swimming in the Nile (which was something he arranged through the tour service). He was incredibly knowledgeable, especially about the Karnak temple! Egypt Unlimited Tours itself was incredible: timely to pick up from the train station and drop off to the airport (it would have been so much harder to navigate the airport without them—they took us right to the security).
The cruise was fine—appropriate for the cost. Our housekeeper was incredible, though. It was our tour guide that really made it 🙂 My favorite part of the cruise was sitting in the front of the ship while we were sailing—worth it for that alone.
As far as the cruise goes: please be aware that the top deck smelled a like gas when we were docked and that people were CONSTANTLY smoking outside. Coming from a part of the US where there’s remarkably less smoking, that was a little difficult to adjust to. But it’s common throughout Egypt, so what can you do? The cruise wasn’t big so we got seasick pretty quickly—bring Dramamine if you’re even a little suseptible 😅
Overall, this was a great experience! We saw a lot in a matter of days—so much so that my friends felt like the temples began to blur a little. Still worth it!

Durante a minha viagem de 13 dias ao Egipto percorri praticamente o país todo e pretendia que, a meio da viagem, conseguisse ter alguns momentos de mais tranquilidade e relaxamento para conseguir recarregar energias. Este cruzeiro foi o ideal. Para além das vistas incríveis para o rio Nilo, ainda foi possível visitar templos entre Luxor e Aswan que de outra forma seria um pouco mais complicado. Staff incrível, guias das visitas incriveis. Recomendo bastante

Les repas sont très bons, mais le bateau équivaut à un 3 étoiles et encore… vieux bateau avec odeur de moisissure dans la chambre, sans balcon, c’est loin d’un 5 étoiles et luxueux… salle de bain désuète sans ventilateur et moteur du bateau bruyant dans la chambre, obligation de mettre des bouchons pour dormir…

Our Guide In Cairo for the first 2 days was Nevin Morris, who was so in knowledgable on everything and took us to experience all other things off the usual agenda.
The Amir Al Shakairy who join us for our Nile Cruise from Luxor was amazing: His historical knowledge and conveying ‘it to us at each site was extraordinary . He really made the trip amazing for us and would recommend anyone and all to ask for his guidance on their trip t¡o Egypt.
Egypt Unlimlited Tours who was our organiser for our trip, Mohamed Mostafer went far and beyond to accommodate us and organise and overwhelming experience!

Accommodation: The boat was definitely not a 5-star cruise. The photos are not at all representative of what you get in terms of accommodation and we were very disappointed from the moment we got on the boat as it was well below our expectations. What you get is more of a 3-star. The accommodation was still good, but we thought we were getting better. Also, I didn’t like that the boat had a clothing shop with the merchant asking you if you wanted to buy something every time you passed him on the way to your room…
Guide: Our guide Mahmoud was excellent. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. The only thing I would have preferred is if he customized his style more to us rather than do it his own way. For example he often made us walk and listen to him talk before leaving us to explore freely. I’m a photographer and I would have preferred to have him accompany us throughout the complex and explain things as I’m shooting. I need the freedom to explore and ask questions – this is the reason I book private tours. Nevertheless, Mahmoud was an amazing guide.
Transportation: overall good transportation, but a few of the cars had tight legroom because they were sedans. A 5-star tour on Viator usually has an SUV.
