Definitely recommend this tour. Everything was perfectly organised. All staff involved were fantastic- from the driver, tour guide, canyoneering guide. We paid a bit extra to take the zip line into the canyoneering which was worthwhile. The close up experience with the whale sharks was something we will remember forever. Our kids (8 and 10 years) joined us for this tour- long day, but they loved it also.

We booked a round trip with whaleshark watching, tumalog falls and Canyoneering in Kawasan Falls. Unfortunelately both Kawasan Falls and Tumalog Falls where closed due to heavy rains the day before and flooding. We got offered a refund for that part of the trip or a substitute to go to moalboal for snorkling in the sardine run.
We wen’t for the substitute and had a great day snorkling with the sardines and a turtle.
Ofcourse we would like to do the canyoneering, but can’t do anything about the weather and the company can’t be blamed here. We had the option to reschedule the entire day but that didn’t match our travel plans. The day ended up great anyways.
Now for the trip. The pick up is dead early, 03:00 am. Don’t plan to sleep in the car if you’re not a easy sleeper. The Road is bumpy and there is actually a bit Traffic.. go to sleep early.
We had a flat tire in the middle of the night in pitch dark, luckily the driver was prepared and we we’re back on the Road after 15 minutes.
We arrived in Oslob around 0700 am. There was alot of people, first you stand in the line to register for swimming. Then you get your number. We had a bit waiting so we wen’t for breakfast in the time before it was our turn. The guide took care of all this.
When it was our turn we joined a boat that had Seats for two extra. All boat are about 8-10 pax.
I highly recommend renting a go-pro camera before this. (P500) The boat man will handle the camera and assist you in getting alot of cool pictures/videos with the whale shark. he captured quite some cool ones!
I think we had about 20-30 minutes in the water with the whalesharks.
It’s mandatory to wear a life jacket on the boat, but if you’re a good swimmer you are allowed to take it off before swimming.
When in water we got really really close up to the whale sharks, it was quite an experience. And we also got some really cool pictures.
You also had the option to stay close and holding on to the boat if you just wan’t to watch them on a little bit of a safe distance. The boat has wooden «Rails» that are nice holding on to.
After the swim we had a fresh water shower before going to the go-pro place where they transfer the pictures directly to your phone.
We then wen’t to lunch, a bit early because Tumalog Falls was cancelled.
Then we wen’t to moalboal and had a great day. Here we also rented a go-pro and the guide handled it for us capturing some cool pictures of us, the sardines and the turtles.
All in all a good day, highly recommend 🤩
