Founded in 1927, Lone Pine holds the distinction of being the world’s oldest and largest koala sanctuary, originally established to protect koalas from the fur trade. Nestled on 18 hectares of lush bushland in Fig Tree Pocket, just 12 km from Brisbane’s city centre, it offers an immersive experience with over 80 native species.
