Yuni is the best guide ever. I would highly recommend this tour. We started at 4 AM and saw a beautiful sunrise, went to two temples and ended with a thrilling jeep ride to the volcano. Yuni was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and welcoming. He will take you to places the other guides won’t.

Youss was such an amazing driver and guide, helped us since the first minute, took us to all the places described here AND MORE! I really wanted to visit the Chicken Church and he made sure I got to visit it. Also took us to different (and hidden!) places, to buy souvenirs, we had lunch at a great spot close to the rice plantations and the jeep trip to Mount Merapi was fantastic. It’s really 12h on the road, and we actually got 13h, but Youss always made sure that we had the best experience.

The tour itself was amazing! Our driver Anang was great, very attentive, very punctual and very sweet. The experience itself it is absolutely worth it but it should be explained better. As the tour package was not exactly as described we ended up frustrated from the bad communication beforehand.
It was nowhere mentioned that the tour is shared and considering the price we were quite surprised.
The pick up time was not as announced at 4:00, it was even earlier at 03:30, which we did not expect either. But the views in Setumbu Hill with the sunrise were the best!
The tour guide is more a driver and even though he gave us some valuable knowledge regarding tradition and culture, we still needed a guide in the different attractions. However Anang was very sweet and arranged for us a complimentary guide at the Borobudur temple.
The Jeep ride itself is a very small part and it is only to go around the 3 points of interest in Merapi. The rest of the ride is with a different car.
