Mammoth caves and the Cape Leeuwin lighthouse were particular good. The wine tasting was fine except dealing with 34 people on our particular trip was a challenge as we formed a circular queue picking up wine and walking around drinking it until we got to the start again. Pizza and beer lunch was good. The stop at Margaret River town was fine except pretty much everything was shut as we arrived. It makes for a long but enjoyable day. A taster of the area.

This was an excellent day out which provided a real flavour of the Margaret River area – the Scottish driver was fantastic – he was so friendly, knowledgable and entertaining – he really brought the trip to life
All members of the group were dropped back to their individual hotels at the end of the day which was a lovely touch
I recommend this trip – if you get the Scottish driver, then it’s a bonus

This was a very long taste of the Margaret River tour, suitable for those who are have limited time in Perth. All sights/stops were interesting and varied. Driver/guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, which added to the enjoyment of the day.

Lighthouse viewing cancelled but little towns were nice. Lots to see in a short amount of time as on the road most of the time

From the stop at the jetty, Burtons Winery, lighthouse, Margaret River and even the roadhouse, Chris’ knowledge of WA was interesting, informative and downright funny at times. Combine that with Sues careful driving, made this tour exceptionally enjoyable and I HIGHLY recommend

Trip started at 7:20 am, bus was 25 minutes late at hotel pick up no communication. Got back 9:00 pm at night. Was on bus about 9-10 hours of the 14 hours. Drove 955 km in that time.
Bussell jetty is ok, but not enough time get to end and back. Otherwise nothing else to see
Brewery/Winery was average. 3 wine samples was offered no beer tasting that was told or aware of. Food was ok.
Cave was interesting but not as great as imagined. 5-10 minutes would have been enough time. Lots of history.
Lighthouse was ok. Got to lighthouse and never got to go to top as needed a ticket but never knew that. Has 1 hour but without going to top only needed 15 minutes.
The Artic Ocean meets the Indian Ocean was most interesting to say I have done it.
Overall trip would never recommend it on bus tour in one day. Would not recommend.

Trip itself and driver excellent. However major stuff up regarding pick up as we were advised pick up was at 8am(refer photo) but then received email at 7.30 am advising they were looking for us at 7.30 am and were ready to leave without us. Lady I spoke to was very rude. I’m expecting an apology as the bus driver took photo as evidence of 8am notification.

The Leeuwin lighthouse and its location was stunning. Really impressed with the Margaret River town which had no big food franchises or the smell of unknown food product being deep fried. Keep it up.

Driver was great informative, interesting fun trip. Would just like a little more time at a couple of stops

  11. Peter_S

Enjoyed visiting Mammoth Cave but would of liked more time there. The lighthouse was also interesting.
The wine tasting was at a Brewery and two wines were tasted – had to ask what these were. Jugs of beer were put on the table and again no explanation given. It would of also been nice for any information about the Brewery – e.g. how it got started, what they made etc be given.
Lunch was just ok. If we had thought about it properly prior to booking would not of gone on this tour – mainly due to the amount of driving involved to get down to the Margaret River area.
    If you don’t mind

Local tour guide was an amazing story teller and made us all feel at home. We had a schedule but he left it to the group to tweak it here and there. Very safe river and fantastic journey. Never been disappointed.

The whole day was a memorable experience. The Busselton pier, Margaret River countryside, lovely brewery lunch the Mammoth caves Cape Leewin lighthouse all contributed different elements to the day. The Pinnacle tours team is very professional & bus very comfortable.

A long, long bus ride. The bus was noisy and rattled its way around, which made it very uncomfortable. The driver was good and knowledgeable. However many things were closed (fudge shop, vide for the light house). The lunch and beers were the highlight. Not really sure of the value and significance of travelling so far from Perth for nothing really special- Margaret river township, cave (this was good), brewery (good also)- but could have done and seen these anywhere.

Our guide was awesome, very friendly, fun and informative. There was never a dull moment even the long trip back to perth was great it helped me to unwind and reflect on the day. Winery was superb! Excellent service. I marveled at cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. All the points of interest were enjoyable. Would highly recommend 👌

From the moment we were picked up till the moment we were dropped off our comfort was the most important thing for Paul, our driver.
He kept us entertained with stories and facts all the way down to our last stop, then on our way home let us rest.
The wine/beer tasting was good and the meal provided was delicious.

  17. Michelle_N

Couldn’t day I really saw Margaret River and the wine tasting was a joke. Both guide and driver, however, were friendly and incredibly informative making the day worthwhile.

  18. Bryan_R

Paul was great, with a lot of stories. I rated a 3 because although we only went to 1 winery, the wine tasting was not really a wine tasting (servers didn’t know or care what they were serving). Mammoth Cave was good, Lighthouse at Cape Leeuwing was nice. The time at Margaret River I feel was a waste.

  19. Mirco_D

This tour has exceeded my expectations by far, Paul was very knowledgeable and his stories made the drive much more enjoyable, always good to learn more about this incredible country.
Honestly one of the best tours I ever did!

  20. Wilma_G

Busselton and Margaret River area. Mammoth Cave and Lighthouse were also good as was the drive through the forest.

  21. SAMUEL_W

It was a very nice tour given the locations visited and time allotted. However it’d have been better to skip the town of Margaret River at the end and have a chance to climb the lighthouse.
