The entire day was enjoyable. We would highly recommend this outing. A great way to get a broad picture of Canberra. Plenty of time to visit different places and relax also.
kevin_h –
Excellent tour, great guide, knowledgable, passionate & entertaining. Learnt a lot, & never boring, war museum very emotional
Leanne_B –
A little disorganised. Would have liked more information about places rather than anecdotal stories. It is a highlights tour and possibly good to do at the beginning of your Canberra stay so that you are able to explore places further. Didn’t feel it was value for money.
MAGGIE_M –
Absolute must in Canberra, our guide Neil was so informative, it was great to get so much information that was interesting.
Maria_R –
Great way to learn about Canberra with a knowledgable guide. Recommend doing it at the start of your stay so you can later go back to anything you’d like to spend more time doing, or get ideas of other things to see and do in Canberra on subsequent days. Fills up quickly so book at least 3-4 days in advance.
Graeme_D –
Excellent introduction to Canberra. You will wonder why you didn’t book more time here. Olaf was most informative and his government insider knowledge very interesting.
Robert_B –
Superb trip with Olaf, our local guide, who provided us with lots of insights about Canberra, as well as the local and national governments.
Couldn’t have been better. We even sat in both the Commons and Senate to listen to the debates live (+/- 15 min. each) as Parliament reconvened for this year.
Amazing!
We also had the great experience of observing the Last Post ceremony at the War Memorial at the end of the afternoon. The best.
Joanne_P –
Very happy with the tour, not only did I get a great overview of Canberra sights, but also learned a lot. The guides are friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour.

We started at the top of Mt Ainslie where we learned about the history and design of Canberra, then our tour went through the grounds of Duntroon military complex and we visited old and new Parliament Houses and the War Memorial. Our guide, Neil made this an interesting and fun excursion. We learned a lot about the conduct of Parliament, and heard the Last Post at the War Memorial. This wss an enjoyable and informative trip.
Mervyn_T –
A well organised and very full day out with Neil who is not only well informed and fully kept us interested.
Spending time at the end of the day at the National War Memorial and attending the ceremony of the last post was very special and rounded off an excellent day.
Neil went out of his way to help one of our party at the chemist and made sure we were back in time to avoid a car parking fine.
hilaryjsanderson –
Olaf gave us a lovely taste of Canberra. His particular knowledge of parliament made it most interesting and stimulating, with a better idea of the running of our great bureaucracy..
we also visited the war memorial in time for a visit to the unknown soldier which was very moving, the laying of wreathes and the last post. Thank you Olaf

Awesome day tour in Canberra, very informative and story telling by the guide. Highly recommended! Love how the city was designed and parliament was built.
Beverley_K –
We enjoyed everything on the day. Ian was a great guide and was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend it.

Had a great day even though it rained so hard in the morning. Tour guide was very nice and friendly. He knew so much about Canberra. Thanks

We were in Canberra for two days and decided to book the tour covers a lot in very convenient way. The morning of the tour dawned and the weather was rainy (and then some) with no prospect it easing until evening. Our tour guide Simon picked us up from our hotel as planned. Simon was very knowledgeable, engaging and accommodating. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and agreed afterwards had we not booked the tour we likely wouldn’t have done much exploring in Canberra as the weather was awful. So glad we booked the tour. I can highly recommend both the tour and our guide Simon. Thank you
Tom_C –
Simon our tour guide made us feel very welcome from the time he picked us up from our hotel. His knowledge of Canberra and its history was exceptional. He went out of his way to accommodate all of our requests, he is truely a proud Canberran. His previous military experience clearly gave him an advantage when we toured the War Memorial and Duntroon. The highlight of the day was the War Memorial and attending the last post ceremony. We can highly recommend this day tour.
Grahame_O –
Visiting both the old and new Parliament Houses and the Australian War Memorial. However the whole day was so interesting and we got to see so much of Canberra.
