The peace of cruising down the Thomson River on the old Murray paddle steamer and then watching the sun set. The dinner and show were terrific, especially the poetry and jokes. Then the film about Capt Starlight was captivating.

The whole night was wonderful. The cruise was lovely and the nibbles that were provided were delicious. Lovely sunset. Back on land we had a beautiful dinner cooked in camp ovens and also getting entertained with poetry and quite a few yarns.

Had a fabulous night cruising. We were picked up from our accommodation by our guide Lane. He gave us a knowledgeable and fun bus ride. Sunset cruise was amazing. Lots of beautiful people to chat with. Sunset was magical.
Dinner was a stew followed by yummy apple pie and damper. Light show was also awesome.

Cruise was relaxing, enjoyable, well presented with nibblies to boot. Enjoyed a great dinner & desert. Hosts entertained well when they shared some stories/poems and we really loved the movie under the stars. The damper/billy tea was icing on the cake to finish off a wonderful night.

This experience was 10/10. From the pristine bus full of friendly people that collected us and dropped us home to the fabulous sunset on the gorgeous Thompson River. The dinner was excellent, plentiful and very well run. The Bush poetry was one of the most pleasant surprises. An excellent value for money experience where the staff really go the extra mile to ensure that everyone is looked after and has a good time.

Starlight Cruise was yet another example of enthusiastic hosts sharing their knowledge of the area. We saw a beautiful sunset, experienced a drover’s camp dinner and enjoyed bush poetry followed by billy tea and damper for supper. All took place under a canopy of stars – magical.
