The tour guide really can make or break a tour. Our guide Jim is outstanding with a wide breadth and depth of knowledge. He was delightful and accommodating. I would do this tour again I n a heartbeat.

Ronnie was an awesome guide! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The only bummer on the trip was that the Inveraray castle was closed to the grounds, but you had a beautiful view of the castle from the gate. Doune Castle was the best part. We had access to 95% of the castle to explore. The drive was beautiful and we will do this tour again in the future!

We had a wonderful time. It is an amazing tour. Rony, our guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, overall fabulous. Would definitely recommend. We especially liked the fact that it was a small group tour.

One of the castles was closed on Wednesdays…Doune castle was ok. Lots of time spent on a cramped mini bus with stops that didn’t really provide any meaningful experience. Inveraray was a disappointment— not many food options before 3PM. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor (Scottish Rodney Dangerfield) 🙂

Our first choice of trip was cancelled due lack of people. So had to settle for this. Then this trip was cancelled and moved to a different day. But that different day also had our original trip available, but we were not told about that option. So we had to settle for this on the day that we didn’t want.

From touring a castle used in movies and tv series to beautiful lochs, glens, and Bens to an encounter with some “hairy coos” this was a wonderful trip! Our driver/ guide John did a great job of sharing stories and history of the area. A great way to experience the West Highlands. Highly recommend!

Our guide Neil, was excellent. Very informative but didn’t get overly chatty. The visit to Alnwick Castle was wonderful, it was extraordinarily beautiful. Bramburgh castle stop was a waste it was a long ride to get to a short 30 minute stop. A better use of time would have been to add that time to the Holy Island and the ruins of the abbey. The ruins were fascinating the Island was interesting and the town was quaint.

Great day trip from Edinburgh! Easy check-in. Stewart was a wonderful guide. We especially enjoyed feeding the Highland cows!

The driver (Stewart) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, kind and patient.
We had a picture-perfect day for the Highlands. The pace of the trip was appropriate, the stops were well-timed, and the scenery was spectacular.

Our driver Stuart was outstanding. He provided safe travel in a comfortable small group bus. The commentary was detailed, broad and engagingly presented. We saw castles of all types from ruins to living grandeur and walked by the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond. All accompanied by a range of Scottish music. A wonderful day!

Well the tour was cancelled. I received an email at 11:40pm the night before, that I didn’t see until we were standing in line for 40 minutes and the operator told us the tour was cancelled, so we were screwed. The tour was booked over 5 months prior. No other tours had openings. Ruined one of the two days we were in Edinburgh. We bought tickets to hop on hop off so we would have something to do and walked around. Wish the company was more organized so that a new tour could have been booked.

So so beautiful!! This is like an all in one tour. You get to visit the beautiful Scottish Higlands, visit two Outlander filming locations and Downton Abbey at Inveraray Castle. Such a wonderful experience with Shelby!!! Really attentive, funny and the cherry on top was the music she played while traveling through the Lowlands and Higlands of Scotland! Wow! A moment to treasure forever! Thank you, Shelby, for making it a wonderful trip!
