We real could have pass one of the stops to have more time at the castle. Two hours were needed to be at the castle

Our driver Paul was very lively and entertaining!! Told us some great history and stories. Sterling Castle was the highlight for us. Beautiful countryside. We wished we had more time at Sterling Castle. One stop at Loch Lomond would have been enough. The first stop there wasn’t much to do but look at the lake and views. Second stop we enjoyed the boat ride. Overall it was a wonderful tour!!

It was a great day trip to see some Scottish countryside when doing a city trip to Edinburgh! The driver was super fun and gave the right amount of information.

Stirling castle and once again all of the history that Martin shared along the way. Loch Lomond was a gorgeous place to explore!

Really enjoyed this tour. Loch Lomond was beautiful and peaceful. Driving through the Troussach Mountain was breathtaking. Stirling Castle had so much to see and the free guided tours were really helpful. Our driver Gary was very knowledgeable and did an amazing drive navigating those tiny roads in the Mountains.

I feel little dispointed for the loch
The lake tour is dispointed me. It suppose to be the biggest lake in Scotland. But We only have a short time to walk to the lake bank and not able to see the large body of water.
But Stirling castle tuor is worth to view

The tour guide and driver were very good. Seeing the Kelpies was not wonderful. I would have rather spent that time at Sterling Castle. The bus we were on was horrible. We had a fully loaded bus (minus 1) and the air conditioner didn’t work. Part of the sound system didn’t work. When going up a steep incline at Sterling Castle, the transmission kept slipping. We barely made it. By the end of the day, we were all a hot sweaty mess. To top it off, there were traffic issues coming back into the city. We were quite late returning. Sitting in traffic with no air conditioning was not good

From start to finish it was a fabulous day we were off the bus more than we were on it . The length of time at each stop was perfect

Marty was a great tour guide, very informative and entertaining. Scotland is more beautiful that we expected, and the “hairy coos” were adorable.

The tour guide was very good and obviously loves what he does. I would have preferred the boat ride in the afternoon – would have been a nice rest after walking all over the castle

Excellent day! Not too much packed in, and definitely enough time to take in the sights. Hairy Coos, Stirling Castle, The Kelpies and Loch Lomand gave a brief wonderful portrait of the historic and majestic Scotland. Shug, our driver and guide, made the trip truly enjoyable.

A wonderful 1 day tour with various experiences that made the whole day feel full and fascinating. Our guide, Shut, shared just enough insights to add that depth and colour to make the day even that much more interesting and have one feel like one knew just a wee bit more about Scottish history and culture! A wonderful day overall. Highly recommended!

My friends and I went on the Kelpies/Stirling Castle/Loch Lomond tripon the 1st June. Overall we’ve enjoyed the trip, Peter, our driver was fabulous, informative and made us laugh many times. The only suggestion we would have would be to increase the time ‘off the bus’ as we sat around 6 hrs in it which we felt was a lot. Understand a certain amount of time is necessary to see the sights but especially the bit between the lunch stop and the castle felt quite long. Some more time for lunch would have been great, we went to a nice pub and despite only ordering food which was recommended due to our limited time, the food arrived about 8 mins before our bus departure, piping hot with no chance for the most of us to eat/enjoy it. Overall a good trip.

The guide was fantastic. Great stories and he knew the area well. At the end, he drove us by the three bridges due to being ahead of schedule.
The Kelpies was just an ok experience, the boat tour at Loch Lomond was very enjoyable and we loved Stirling castle.
The lunch stop in Aberfoyle was disappointing. The food options were limited and the quality of the food was low, and, by the time we got our food, which took a very long time, it was past time to leave:

Our tour guide George, was a lot of fun. It’s a nice blend of stories, jokes music and quiet. Stirling Castle was my favorite part. But the boat tour of Loch Lomond was beautiful. Definitely recommend doing it all.

We had a great time on this tour and Shug was an excellent host and storyteller! Highly recommend! Fun! Fun! Fun!!

Tour was great a long day. The only thing wrong was the tour driver had music playing all the way and when she was telling you about things you couldn’t hear her

The tour itself was alright for first timers in Edinburgh who want to get a general idea of Scotland, however, we felt that the tour was a bit expensive as the ticket only includes the bus dropping you off in the places mentioned.
Also, Viator misled us as it mentions the Loch Lomond cruise being free of charge, but the actual ticket was around GBP 15 per person (which wasn’t mentioned when we were booking the tour).
We made an additional small stop to see the Highland cows (which wasn’t mentioned earlier) which left us little time to explore Stirling Castle.
Stirling castle itself is in the works, the outside structure stands tall, however, the exhibitions and rooms still haven’t been refurbished.
At last, we also didn’t make a stop at the Forth bridges as mentioned in the tour.
The bus pick up site was easy to find (just downhill Edinburgh Castle), and our tour guide was a pleasant lady. She was constantly giving us some context and history to all the places we were visiting. The bus left on time, and we were dropped off in Edinburgh in time. There were no unnecessary delays. The bus was comfortable.
Overall, the tour is okay for first timers to Edinburgh.
