Our tour guide, Anthony, was exceptional! Very knowledgeable, humorous and very accommodating. The ferry was one of the nicest I have ever been on. Beautiful scenery but nothing prepares you for Butchart Gardens beauty. It is a MUST see. The sunken garden with it’s vibrant colors is beyond words.

Greyline electric buss broke down 2 times. Replacement bus could only take 29 of the 42 passengers so they asked for volunteers to go back into town. The driver, Andrea spoke to her supervisor and was authorized to offer 100% ticket refund plus 30% for volunteering. We waited an extra 40 minutes after the Replacement bus left for our bus to take us to town. When we got to town a Greyline renamed Richard got on and told us no 30%. All twelve of us volunteers told him he was wrong!! We had been promised or we would not have volunteered. 4 hours of our morning was wasted
We stayed an extra day in Vancouver to specifically go on that tour. Our extra day at the Pan Pacific and food cost us @$1000. for nothing!! We are NOT happy

  3. Alan_S

Jessica was a great tour guide as well as an excellent driver. Butchart Gardens was amazing, beautifully looked after. We also enjoyed seeing a little of the island and wandering around Victoria. The day was well planned but be aware that it is a long day.

  4. Kama

Our driver, Herman, was very entertaining, and he was very good at making sure his passengers understood the time constraints. Butchart Gardens never disappoints. An extra hour in Victoria would have been nice but the day is a long one as it is.

  5. Merrick_M

our guide Herman was knowlegdable & interesting . His commentary that included history of Vancouver & Vancouver Island added more interest to our trip.
Butchart gardens were spectacular. Would have enjoyed another hour at the gardens. 2 hours in Victoria was not a highlight of our trip. Loved the Ferry ride

  6. Sharon_M

Without doubt our tour guide Hermon . He was knowledgeable & a great story teller – delivering his stories with charm and good humour.
A gem for the tour company he works with and for in our opinion.
    Both visitation experiences exceptional.

  7. Colbie_H

Our driver, Ed M., was a gem. He shared local knowledge and pointed out sites along our route. He was an excellent guide throughout the day. The tour is well organized and allows one to see a tremendous amount during the day. I would highly recommend it!

  8. Irene_C

Great tour. Alex the tour guide very knowledgeable. Plenty of time at both the gardens and in downtown Victoria. Only slight negative is that didn’t realise was going to be back at the hotel at 9pm! Might help to be explicit about this as a lot of people were caught off guard.

  9. Kalpna_S

Staff is really nice but the only part I liked was how easy was the ride to and from the ferry. The gardens are pretty but there is not much to do there. You are in Victoria for only 1.5 hours which is not enough. By the time you reach Victoria, you are exhausted and all you can do is eat as soon as possible.

  10. Maria_P

    Terrible experience
The driver’s instructions were unclear, causing misunderstandings and a negative experience for some group members..

  11. Dan_C

Lot of time spent on bus and ferry but our guide Jessica was excellent. She was knowledgeable and very entertaining and not boring. Fun ride. Wish there was more time at Butchardt Gardens as they were fabulous.

  12. Louis_A

This day trip was wonderful from the boat ride and the gardens to the beautiful town of Victoria.
Anthony led our tour and this was the best tour I’ve ever taken. So glad we went.
    Thanks Anthony!

  13. Alex_R

Toni was a fantastic tour guide, and the scenery was beautiful. Having now been to both Butchart gardens and Victoria, I think I would have enjoyed more time at the gardens and less in Victoria.

  14. Lesley_L

Blown away by Butchart Gardens. Victoria is such a lovely city. Very enjoyable. Our driver, Senan, was the best-so witty & informative.

  15. MichelleAnne_D

Awesome day. Lots to see and learn. Butchard garden was amazing. Definitely worth the trip.
Our tour guide jack was great, knew so much about everything, it was worth every penny.

  16. WolfgangProf_D

Alex was a very good driver with excellent knowledge about the local history and our targets. And the eBus was an excellent idea to do, too.

  17. Christine_V

Alex, the driver/tour guide was very courteous & informative. But the weather & season made it not as great as it could be.

  18. Sophie_H

The history nuggets that Alex told us during the day were awesome! The ride was easy – Alex was very clear on when and where to meet and gave us great insight on where to eat! The pickup at hotel was fabulous as well – Peter was super nice! Would highly recommend and would do this again! Just remember – when they give you a time – be ready!!

  19. Adam_B

The gardens and city are marvelous. In only wish we’d had more time at both. And would have liked to have been at the gardens when it’s more in bloom, though the fall colors in the Japanese garden were fantastic.
Our driver/guide truly made the trip. David Rodgers (I hope that’s right!) is a wonderful story teller, bringing life to the journey and the locations we visited and drove through.
It is a long day, so be prepared for it! But worth the time for the experience.

My Oct 31st booking was cancelled by your Gray Line Agency. I chose to opt for the Oct 30th trip instead of a refund but I was charged REBOOKING fees : ridiculous, it was not a rebooking since it was cancelled on your end.
No time was allowed for a stop on the way to Victoria to get lunch until we got there at 15h30. I had had breakfast at 06h30 in the morning. So we had to eat in Victoria if we did not to eat on the Ferry, but this was not suggested to us. Once in Victoria we only had 2 hours to visit, and of that 2 hours we had to allow time to eat, which reduced the total time we had to visit the city. Not enough time in Victoria for a 250$ trip plus admin fees…

Perfectly timed excursion. Two hours in Victoria was enough for a good walk about. And then hitting the gardens just at dusk was perfect ! As evening approached the lights became more spectacular!
