Josephine is marvelous. With a child of her own, she was great with my kids. We had a chance to take a matatu (local bus) to and from the market where we bought the fruit and vegetables to go into our meal and then she welcomed us to her home for the cooking itself. Don’t shortchange yourself in talking with Josephine—she’s a wealth of insight into not just the cooking but Kenyan life as well. Well worth the trip.

That tour was phenomenal! Josephine is a patient, smart, funny and nice professor that will give a lot of insights about Kenyan culture! 🙂 first she brings you into a Matatu to go to the market to buy stuff for the meal, and then you follow her at her home by a Matatu party bus! And then she shows you how to make a mouth-watering Kenyan stew with sides that you will want to cook over and over at home! She even offers you fruits and sugarcane as a snack! Top-notch hospitality!
A must to book in Nairobi! 😀
