Notre guide et conducteur Léon était fantastique il a tout fait pour nous occuper jusqu a l heure de l arrivée des pingouins et le groupe était sympa , tout le monde à discute ensemble, Merci Leon

Had a great tour director! Upgrade to better Penguin seating was well worth it. Survived easily a random vehicle safety stop.

Nicely paced, well guided, and friendly driver. The bus was quite uncomfortable. We enjoyed the variety of stops and being able to book at the last minute.

Driver tour guide JP was excellent. Too bad we had bit of late start, not sure why some people cannot show up on time at pickup location. Comfortable vehicle and drive down to region. Park experience with Koalas and roos lots of fun as was visit to Nobbies. The Antarctic experience done in conjunction with WWF was well done, esp the screen with all the animals showing up in pictures with you! The Penguin experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia and rangers were great. Too bad some people do not understand the no photography rule when most people are complying. The march of the penguins up the beach past the viewing platform was amazing.

There were 7 in our group and we all loved it! John Paul our tour guide was excellent and the chocolate factory is a must especially if you have children. The penguin experience is incredible! All of a sudden, hundreds of penguins show up on the beach and march to their homes. It’s an hour of being in awe. It is cold so bring warm clothes.

My husband and I had an amazing time on this day trip to Phillip Island to see the penguins! We went in July when there isn’t as many penguins but we still got such a sight!! Also saw koalas being really active prior to the penguins. Great day and worth the bus ride, our tour guide was amazing.
Frances_C –
I gave it a 3 because it says small group but we had 39 people on the bus…that’s not small to me! However, I really enjoyed the koalas and, of course, the penguins. We were the only 4 people on our bus that did the penguin plus viewing and I think it was worth the extra money because there was a small amount of people in that area and it was close to the penguins coming out of the water and passing our area!!

It was very enjoyable to see the koalas, seal rock, and the penguin parade. What was not enjoyable was our tour guide – i didn’t get his exact name. He had minimum communication, minimum interest, and minimum engagement. Example: penguin parade- “here is your ticket, be back at the bus at 9 pm”. Did not spend any effort to let us know what to expect or see at each stop. Take this tour, but with a different company.

Whilst the trip was overall good and the places visited as described, the use of small group is not what was expected. We were on a bus of 39 people. This is not a small group. Whilst this assessment of numbers is in the terms and conditions most people would not be aware of numbers. Please change the title to make it clear.

This was without a doubt our favorite event in our three week stay. I recommend this for everyone including locals to do at least once. This is the best and most exciting thing we of all our events.

Excellent tour and wonderful tour guide. The platform plus viewing was fabulous. So close to the penguins. I really enjoyed the koala park and the walk prior. Just a lovely trip

Stopped at many scenic locations along the way and the penguin parade was the highlight. Be sure to get penguin plus seating it is so much better. Take jackets as it gets cold at night waiting for the penguins to come ashore. This is NOT a small group tour because it is joined with a larger group (37 total). The stop at a gas station/ McDonald’s is totally unnecessary after 90 minutes on the bus.

Seeing the koalas and the penguins was what it was all about and I was not disappointed! Amazing!
Worth all the effort.
Bit of a bus ride out and back, especially for long legged people like me cramped in tight bus seats, but seriously a must do!
Robert_C –
The penguin experience was phenomenal. So interesting to see how the penguins interact with each other. We were able to see them close as we took the penguin plus seating highly recommended The rest of the tour was not good. It was very hard to see the koalas and there was no information given. The Nobbies Ocean Discovery Centre was a total waste. The seals were supposedly 1 1/2 mile off the coast.

Watching the penguin parade was amazing! Glad we couldn’t take pictures so the experience could be fully appreciated and enjoyed. The facility isn’t equipped to feed everyone right before it’s time to watch so bring food or get take away elsewhere before arriving. But still worth starving (too late to get food after returning to Melbourne) to watch those thousands of cute, blue fairy penguins! 😁

Incredible day with a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. The Koala sanctuary was so special, to see them in their own “natural” environment was an honour. What more can be said about the Penguins than they were mesmerising. Such a memorable day 5 stars.

The penguin parade was fun!
The koala sanctuary was disappointing as we received no guide to the koalas which was promised.
Nearly didn’t get the penguin plus but did only because we saw that our tickets were for general admission. This was corrected by Nate, our guide. The bus was very crowded and cramped for my husband who is just 6’1”.
Nate was the only bright spot in the day besides the penguins. He was as accommodating as he could be in this situation.
Given the experience, I may have just gotten the tickets separately and rented a car.

What a wonderful thing to see. I highly recommend, and pay the extra to get a seat on the viewing platform. The little guys will waddle right past you. Too cute.
