Our guide, Jason, was excellent. He was knowledgable and entertaining. Jason knew where to position us so that we would have optimal viewing locations for each of the movements of the guards. On the other hand, our tour did not end on a positive note. We believed that we would enter Westminster Abbey at 1:30, the time indicated on the ticket we received as part of our tour package. Unfortunately, we waited on a long line for an hour and ten minutes before we reached the entry point. We don’t understand why we were told that we would have a 1:30 entry and then were forced to wait on line for more than an hour. This alone would cause us to not recommend this Westminster tour.

Didn’t feel the tour plan was well communicated and didn’t like that there were restrictions when plans changed. Note, the website says that you cannot do a tour inside Westminster Abby and this isn’t true! If you arrive earlier enough, you can purchase a tour run by the abbey itself although there are limited spots available as its first come first serve.

While it’s not a tour guarantee, our group saw the King driving between Clarence House and Buckingham Palace. A true highlight for sure on a tour with many many highlights including our tour guide Ashley! He was beyond knowledgeable of the tour subject matter and truly passionate about London history and sharing the stories, legend and gossipy bits that kept our group hanging on his every word! This tour is a must for every newcomer as well as for those looking for a refresher!

Matt took us on a walking tour of Buckingham>James Park>Big Ben and the surrounding area. He was very informative and fun! Best of all, he planned his stops so we weren’t shoved in the with the massive groups of tourists. We had great views of the changing of the guard and even saw the King drive by.
