All those heavy stones were moved there and no one knows why. It is quite miraculous that there are stones just as large under the visible ones. It was cold and windy but we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Stonehenge.

Was picked up at 7:15 – first one on the schedule which meant I rode around London for 2 1/2 hours while the bus was picking everyone else up. Mike made it interesting by giving us interesting information on what we were seeing. Next came Stonehenge. It was rainy and windy so we didn’t stay out as long as we would have wished but that was not the tour’s fault. Finally arrived at the cruise terminal just in time. Overall, worthwhile way to get to the port.

We were picked up on time from our hotel in a mini van with two other couples who happened to be on the same cruise as we were. That was a great way to start, meeting some fellow cruisers! The trip was pleasant and to see Stonehenge was an experience and extra perk to the cruise port. Our driver/guide was excellent, think his name was Paul. After Stonehenge he treated us to a scenic ride through the countryside to the port which was fantastic. He went above and beyond and made the start to our cruise vacation a very memorable one.

Stonehenge was a bucket list item for us and the experience was beyond expectations. Using the downloaded audio tour increased our knowledge and improved the enjoyment of our visit. The bus was very comfortable and the guide was enthusiastic. Pickup and drop off was efficient and on time. Highly recommend this tour.

Prompt pickup at our hotel to get us to a rendezvous with our bus for the ride to Stonehenge. The drivers and guide were professionals, gave us info on what to expect for the day and tips for our visit. The guide gave some interesting commentary on London areas we traversed on our way out of town. The drop at the Princess Terminal was seamless with the driver and dock crew handling our luggage for us. Just be sure to have placed your Princess luggage tags on your bags before hand. We saw some had not done this and had to wait for their bags to come out of the bus storage to place the tags on bags while we were able to leave them behind and start our cruise.

DO NOT TAKE THIS!!!!! Our pick up was 7 am. We assumed we would have pick ups for the first hour, then head to Stone Henge. Around 9:45 AM, we finally left London and headed to Stone Henge. If we would have known we would be picking people up around central London for the first three hours of the day we would have gotten an Uber instead. Much cheaper and you would have much more time at Stone Henge. We also arrived at the port at 2:45 when we were supposed to arrive before 2. I do not recommend this excursion unless you would like to waste a day of your trip on a bus.

Seeing Stonehenge. Chatting with docent at Stonehenge. We were disappointed at the amount of time that we had at Stonehenge. It was supposed to be 2 hours. It was about 90 minutes instead. We were also told that it was a 20 minute walk when it was actually a 40 minute walk. That meant we only had about 30 minutes total at the Stonehenge monument itself. Very disappointing.

THIS is the way to do Stonehenge. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable, friendly and more importantly, on time! Picked up right from our hotel and dropped off well in time for our cruise. I wouldn’t waste a port excursion on this! This was definitely the way to see Stonehenge.
