Tour guide Sadie was wonderful, navigating our stops with energy and great storytelling.
We had booked the 10:30 am tour, but were asked to switch to an early morning slot the night before to ensure that we would be able to access the DMZ because of such high demand. So be prepared that you may need to wake up early if you want to do this tour. But it’s worth it!

Just visited this past Sunday, apparently a very busy day so we had to take the early 6:30am pickup. The timing was difficult but worked out well. We’re a family of 4 including 2 tweens and had a worthwhile visit with Sadie the Guide. She gave all the necessary information and she’s skilled and has probably done thousands of guided visits to know what to expect. She kept us in line to keep with the time schedule or we’d be lingering and overstaying. I was concerned about the tunnel visit being arduous but it was manageable and a good walk for anyone to stay in shape. If you’re tall, you’ll certainly have a neck workout as well. I think it’s a must if you’re a visitor to Korea.

We were picked up promptly and had a very interesting visit to the various stops. Our guide provided an excellent commentary but could have done with a bigger map or individual maps to give to participants. Unlike many tours it was not shorter than advertised, in fact it was longer. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and visibility of North Korea was compromised.

Tour Was planned to leave at 7am however at 11pm the night before it was re-scheduled to leave at 5:40am . I did not see this msg as i was already sleeping and therefore could not attend the tour. To reschedule the dep time just a few hours before is not really professional!
