We had a wonderful afternoon with visiting the crypt, catacomb and church. The tour was very well organized and we learned a lot of interesting facts thanks to Paula!

  2. Peter_B

Excellent tour. Kind of creepy but it was expected! Lol! Tour guides were great. Very informative. Would recommend for something a little different.

  3. Bridget_G

The guide was great and the tour unique. The Capuchin crypt was short and eerie. The air conditioned buses were great.

  4. Savannah_O

Fantastic way to see the Capuchin Crypts, along with one of the catacombs in Rome! Friendly guides! Very efficient and well timed.

  5. Alberto_C

So great. Worth every penny. Euro. Would do it again. Guide was so informative. Great place to tour. Great guides. I would love to come back again

  6. Katherine_M

Very interesting tour with a lot of fascinating information and stories. Our tour guides were amazing, especially our guide for the Catacombs.

  7. Emily_L

Not our favorite tour of the trip. Seemed a bit unorganized and church wasn’t open so we pivoted to a different one.

  8. ChanRee_K

The trip started out nice but due to the tour operator’s error the final destination was cancelled due to missing the closing time of a famous church. No alternative was provided nor recompense by the tour operator except for a simple statement of flippant apology.

The guide was very good and the tour interesting. The artwork with the Capuchin monk bones was a little much for me, but my husband liked it.

  10. Bryant_H

Very interesting and eerie at the same time. Great tour if you like history and don’t mind seeing bones or dark and damp locations.

We can’t thank Barbara enough for the educational tour she provided us today. From the crypts to the catacombs to the “lasagne” church at the end we were enthralled by her passion for the past! Thank you for an incredible tour.

This trip was what I expected, eerie and spooky. The crypts were amazing how they decorated with the bones of the monks. Hip bones as wings…
Seeing how the dead were placed in the catacombs was very interesting. Not a place to go into without a guide. I recommend this tour

Viator and local tour company did not communicate. Local Tour company did not have our reservations. Unfortunately we did not get to go.

We were supposed to go to one of the catacombs along the Appian Way, which we wanted to see, but wound up somewhere else with the Catacombs of Domatilla. Ok, but not as interesting as one of the better known ones, I’m sure. The Capuchin Monastery was just creepy, and the church we visited last was boring, again not one of the more interesting ones. Worst of all, the tour suddenly ended there, when it was supposed to end where it began, at the Piazza Barberini, leaving people scrambling for transportation. Our guide, who was excellent and in no way responsible, procured taxis for us. Easily the least enjoyable of the Viator trips we booked.

  15. Arthur_M

We enjoyed this tour, though it seemed a bit expensive given the number of people and the low cost of the underlying admissions. The bus directly to the catacombs was very helpful—it’s a long trip by public transport. Our guide, Sabina, was cheerful and knowledgeable.

Crypts we’re very cool, creepy and weird, but loved it! Catacombs and church were very interesting. With the money.

  17. Clinton_O

The guides were great. Very friendly and knowledgeable. In the catacombs, I thought the group was too big (larger than 16 people for sure). As a result, I struggled to hear.

Laura was a wonderful tour guide. Although the tour met at Plazza Barbarini, you had to walk a couple of blocks uphill on a slanted alleyway sidewalk. It was later explained why the bus couldn’t stop in the plaza. Although it was a wonderful tour, due to my mobility issues (I walk with a cane) had I known about an uphill trek to start the tour, I would have selected something different. Don’t let this review impact you decision if you have no mobility issues. It was a great tour.

This was a very interesting trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. The man that does the tour through the catacombs was hard to understand but that is not this companies guide.
