First, our tour guides Andre’ and Victorrio were excellent. They were very knowledgeable of the area from our trip to and through Naples to our tour of Pompeii. Our bus driver, Muaro, was incredible. He maneuvered the bus around Naples traffic like a true expert. Pompeii was awesome with its history and ruins. Highly recommend this tour.

The bud driver, Jonny-Jon-Jon, and Marco, the narrator on the bus made the ride interesting by telling about the region as we drove south to Pompeii. Although we stopped in Naples for a photo opportunity; Vincenzo?, another guide, joined us and told the history of Naples. Finally, Sasha, our guide on-site of the ruins was knowledgeable and friendly as they all were.

Wonderful day. Staff was excellent. We chose hotel pickup and they notified me the day before what time to be in the lobby. They were there exactly as noted. Lunch was excellent. Pompeii Ruins were amazing. Just a great tour.

Micky, who’s first day it was with the Company and Sacha our guide, we’re excellent and absolutely wonderful company.
The day started right on time without a hitch and all the information was clear and concise and easily understood.
Micky was amazing she was so professional and at the meal made a special effort to get to know everyone.
At Pompei Sacha took over and, boy, he bought Pompei back to life and described with so much passion about the world that had been lost and rediscovered. For me this was the highlight of my trip and I personally would like to thank Sacha for that.
We didn’t get to say Goodbye to him as the other half of the party were going on to Sorrento with him and I missed him , so please let him know how much we appreciate all his knowledge and his passion. He has the job I would love to have.
Pompei is a must to see and worth every penny spent on a guided tour as you learn so much more. MAKE SURE YOU GET SACHA. Please don’t take young children they get bored!!!

The whole experience was awesome!
Tour guide from Rome to Pompeii and back Enrico ( sorry for misspelling) was awesome! Down to earth very informative and experienced. Made sure to talk one on one with every guest. In Pompeii my guide Connie was so sweet and protective of our group. She made sure to leave no one behind and knew exactly who was in her group and how many. Very informative

The guide was fantastic and friendly. Pompeii itself is a bit overrated and very difficult to walk around but none of that is the staff’s fault. Pompeii is worth seeing at least once.

It was a miserable day, lots of rain that Viator can’t control. It was hard to understand our guide. Bratty kids and parents. Always in the way..

Great experience! Our guides were fantastic and very knowledgeable. Bus accommodation very comfortable. A long day though. So, be prepared to be tired at the end.

Pompeii is so much more than I expected. Plus our guide Bruno and Mateo were amazing. Even on a rainy day

If you want to spend time in Pompeii this is not the tour for you. Two of the twelve hours are spent walking around Pompeii with the Guide, who was awesome and really knowledgeable.
Feedback for the tour operator:
– Consider less stops (wasn’t necessary to stop at the same road house twice) these added an hour onto the overall journey time
– Consider skipping the gift shop stop before going into the Pompeii ruins
– consider shortening the Naples component of the tour, as it was just an hour and a half of driving around in a bus.
– our guides and bus driver were amazing and made sure the group was together and not lost
In short- our guides were awesome. The itinerary of this tour sucked.

We went on a day that was unfortunately the same day as a bicycle race in Naples which prevented us from going there. That should have lead to more time at Pompeii, but that was not the case. Our ride there and bus guide/host was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting information about Pompeii. Once on-site, our field guide gave a succinct description of the various areas of the site and what we saw was amazing, but actually expected more. Specifically, from other’s experiences, including my wife who had gone before, we expected to see more of the poor humans who were preserved. From various TV programs I’ve seen in the past, I was disappointed. Had I not gone off and explored a bit on my own, I would not have seen some of the things the tour did not cover. We walked over 4 miles and it just flew by. Extremely busy there with tons of tour groups that jammed up some of the more important exhibits, but it was satisfying overall.

It was a very rainy day, so I thought it would ruin the experience, but not at all! Pompeii is so interesting and the guide was very good that we really enjoyed the day, despite of the weather.

Comparing the Pompei destruction with other volcanic sites we have visited. We were glad to see how the site is being preserved & displayed. The guide Bruno did an excellent presentation.
susan_f –
The guide Vitorio was excellent and his knowledge was great.
The site is amazing and it really is stepping back in history

Pompei shows good, bad and ugly part of the humanity. The intelligence, community living, cruelty and how fragile is our surroundings
Marcia_K –
Pompeii was great!
Victorio – guide- and Mara – travel director did a fabulous job.
Bus returned very late due to an accident and delays which made for a very long day.
Nancy_Y –
Great tour with lots of history Bus ride was long and very uncomfortable but driver got us there safely. I was expecting the shuttle to bring us back to the hotel but that wasn’t provided.
Olivia_W –
What should have been a wonderful memorable experience turned out to be memorable for all the wrong reasons.
An expected 12hr day turned into 15 hours due to a 5 hr journey back to Rome from Pompeii and only 1 hour 45 minutes in Pompeii itself – rushed through with no time to explore.
A monumental waste of time during the morning with the “panoramic bus tour of Naples” nothing more than an exercise of filling in time and a forced time at the Cellini coral factory was nauseatingly frustrating and pointless.
Lunch was below standard and presided over by rude restaurant staff who barked orders at guests.
A very long and disappointing day capped off by having to endure long weekend traffic snarls all the way back to Rome.
Avoid booking this tour- you spend the bare minimum time at Pompeii and more time fluffing around on useless other “experiences”. Also check to make sure you don’t book on a Sunday or any time near a public holiday when the tour operators know there will be heavy traffic back to Rome – many people on the tour missed evening engagements and travel plans due to a 9pm eventual return. We were all dumped at the departure point on return with no taxis ordered and then expected to tip our guides for their “extra effort”..

Seeing the Pompeii ruins. Nothing else to say. So so tour. Lunch was very minimal. I don’t care today more.
