San Francisco Cable Cars

Every tourist to San Francisco has to take a ride on the historical . There are only three lines left operating. They run from 6.30 in the morning to just after midnight.
Not considered a public transport by the locals but loved by the visitors to San Francisco. Take this opportunity to jump abroad one of these running historical landmarks. They are not cheap, at the time of this writing we paid about$7 for a one day trip. Worth every cent but for regular trips the local bus service is very cheap.
Visit The Cable Car Museum to see how this ingenious cable car system works. It is located in the historic Washington Mason castle car and powerhouse.
